trade for Roy Halladay.... no?

Post#1 » by number15 » Mon Apr 1, 2013 1:03 pm

Roy Halladay was one of the best pitchers of his generation, yet I feel like his career was wasted because the Jays failed to put together a contending team in all hid years here.... he gets traded to Philly and 2-3 years into it. People say he is finished. He is on the decline. Philly would love to rid of his contract which is like 20 million per but I believe only has 1 more year left. I may be wrong.

So why don't the Jays make a play for Roy Halladay to be the #5 or maybe #4 starter in Toronto to. AA signed a garbage player like Derosa just for veteran presence but wouldn't it be much better if we had the best player in jays history on roster..... and don't get me started on the revenue it would buy and fans would go nuts.... best part is Roy loves Toronto and now that jays are good and Philly sux he might not mind coning back "home"

With Romero struggling and Happ not as good as even a declining Halladay...... why not?
