Not very good. Vegas has our win total around 72-73.

What would make it a successful season for me?

- Garza proves he's healthy and is traded for good prospects
- Castro makes a big step forward in either power or plate discipline
- Rizzo proves he's the 1st baseman of the future with a good, full season
- Castillo is serviceable behind the plate
- Soler, Baez and Almora continue their good development
- A few of our many pitching draft picks from the last draft start to take off

If most of those things happen, we could be ready to actually start winning by next year.

Lets see if I can post this from my phone. It was 30, windy, was raining and snowing. The Sun has finally started to come out.

Glad I am in Pitt for opening day. Lets get a win! Great way to start and get ready for our 2013 World Series win! :D

Lets go CUBS!

Already in mid-season form. Runners on 2nd and 3rd, no outs and they DON'T SCORE.

Hey guys, I decided to become a Cubs fan near the end of last year. I'd always listed the Jays as my baseball team by default because of liking other Toronto sports teams, but had NO FEELS towards watching them or attachment to their games, so I figure I had nothing to lose by trying a new team and seeing if it made me like the MLB - and since I switched to the Cubs everything felt a lot more right and attachment friendly

Woke up too late to see the Rizzo HR, but great win! Samardzija and Fuji!

Check out vipbox.tv as well, I couldn't watch the firstrow stream today because of StreamTorrent (can't install it on my old mac) but vipbox worked

Shark and Rizzo being the stars was perfect, it's crucial they have good years.

A FanGraphs writer predicted Samardzija would win the Cy Young. Not saying it's going to happen, but it's not crazy. His strikeout and swinging strike numbers are really, really good.

Yes Sir! Got Vip Box going in the 3rd inning.

I could never get Vip Box to get up Iowa BBall games for me so I stopped checking it, but it came through today! Haha.

Anyway, Rizzobomb was great. Castro 2 hits and good plays at short. Rizzo was good at first too. Castillo two doubles and a big RBI. Schierholtz(sp?) got on 4 times. Wish we could've extended the 9th to get Hairston an AB.

Shark was phenomenal, pitched out of Lillibridge's error in the first and it was smooth sailing for you. Marmol...ugh, same old, same old. Russell and Fujikawa finished it off.

Let's win at least one more of these. Jackson gets his first Cub start on Wednesday. Hopefully if the Cubs do decent this board can pick up a little.

Least favorite day of the season tomorrow. The off day after opening day!

Nice to get that first W. same old Marmol, no good under pressure--once we're out of it he'll save a bunch in a row. Make him and Russell set up and Fuji closer.

I saw the last few innings, had some time at work after the Knicks game ended. Len and not-Bob were talking up how good Castillo looks.

Nate the Great with a huge 2 run HR for insurance! Marmol is a lucky P.O.S

Good game by Wood. Helped himself with a hit came in on a Castro RBI single. Russell and Fujikawa were great out of the pen. Fuji needs to be the closer.

Marmot can only produce as a set up man. I think we learned this with LaTroy Hawkins--sometimes a guy only excels as a set up man and can't close.

Nice to win the series and good game by Wood. Jackson's stats looked solid as I was following online. Healthy Garza and we could be in it with a little offense and no Marmol closing.
