BC is the real problem.

Are some of you guys insinuating that talent is not a problem with this roster? Casey sucks, but this is a sub .500 team regardless of his coaching

Casey is safe until at least 20 games into next year. BC already has enough excuses for this year:Bargs injury, rookies developing, bad start caused by refs Gay trade part way through season (not enough time to gel) Feilds injury. He's got a bucket load of BS to throw out.

Casey is his escape goat for NEXT season when the team has a full training camp with this maxed out roster and still doesn't perform.

Agreed, we also gave Casey his 3rd year without fully evaluating him first. I liked Casey to begin with, but it was just stupid to give him his 3rd year when it didn't need to be given.

+1... Chicago didn't even give Thib an extention until his deal was was done and that team was playing really well.

You can have any roster and Caey will manage to loose with the most talented roster. In most cases Raptors loose because of Casey not the players.

Casey either is really really dumb as a coach or he tries to loose in purpose. But in the latter case, players need to know what is going on. In contrary case, players will loose any trust in coach and this will never lead you to wins. Unfortunately, I see that players have quit on Casey.

The only saving redemption for Casey is that Jonas has been playing well. Unfortunately Casey does not know how to make the use of the talent on his team. He is probably the worst at substitution, and our offense often looks more like a pick up game at the local Y. I actually believe we have some talent on the team (I know many here do not believe so and hate BC with a passion). I want to see a real professional NBA coach take over and work with our core of Lowry, Gay, and Jonas first (I still believe). Casey has to go.

Do you really think Casey will be BC's escape goat?

We need a coach who is not "ga ga" for pass first PGs.

Casey is a good guy, with strong principles. That makes him a good guy to have as a friend, but a damned stubborn head coach because he sticks to his principles so strongly.

Absolutely. If BC is is given another year there is no upside for him to admit a mistake in the offseason by canning his 3rd coach.

Dwane Casey needs to go

Post#213 » by IN_Vince » Fri Apr 12, 2013 9:43 pm

He is not the coach for this system, the players that are part of our core dont really like him. Our PG lowry hates him. And Casey himself his system does not fit with these players, he needs to go or he will hold Raptors back

The most interesting thing for many this off-season is who should lay claim to the #FireDC hashtag on Twitter. Philly started early with Doug Collins being asked not to renew, while Dwane Casey has a pretty loyal fanbase wanting him gone. It's a tough call who gets the hashtag rights. Doug Collins should get it based on senority.

Maybe we should go the more inclusive approach and go with #FireBCandDCamnestyAB

If this does get trending that would be incredible...

The Andrea Bargnani stuff is the only thing mainstream fans caught up on, I can only see that succeeding.

I still don't think we've played under our roster's quality this year. And the first year we were above it.
It's going to be a glorious day... I feel my luck could change

Think about getting a coach in which he loves to push the ball like the nuggets. Our team is soo athletic, that it's been overlooked. Today was evident in the bulls game and we only got one 3? Casey needs to go in order for our team to be utilized it its full potential.

So Jay Triano taught our boys offence. Casey taught them defence. Now BC needs a coach who can help with inbounding the ball.

This seasons failure has a lot to do with Caseys stubborn stance. This is an ultra athletic team that is playing away from its strengths. He was not able to come up with a playing style that was at least interesting and his asset management was simply poor. Parking Bargnani at the 3pt line, allowing anderson and lucas to shoot at will, playing half court isos all game, sitting valanciunas for the second half of games, sticking to small ball, etc. The guy needs a team that fits his style perfectly otherwise he cant coach, zero adaptability on his part. The games are basically boring when you see a team with so much athletic ability struggle to put points on the board.

Im not sying we should be contending for the championship, but this team did not play up to its potential and capabilities, and unfortunately Im going to put this on the coach. I say he has to go if we can score a big name coach.
