I feel like when kobe takes on more of the facilitator role and attacks the basket hes more in-tune with the game. He has a better rhythm and actually plays better on defense. maybe hes more dialed in now that hes handling the ball more but whatever the case is i like what ive seen the pass two games. Our offense doesnt skip a beat and our defense improves. some of that is contributed from nash being out but also our bigs are more involved offensively and intern are more active defensively. so going forward the ball needs to stay in kobes and paus hands. coach d's gonna have make a hard decision and bench nash, he benched pau because he didnt fit the system now its nash's turn.[/quote]

BTW isnt it crazy how were 8-0 against the Mavs since we got swept in that 2011 playoff series. That's a foul taste in everybody mouth associated with the Lakers lol

darren collison was tearing it up when he was in there and they were running the offense through him. luckily for the lakers that wasn't too much, since they had mike james starting and ran the offense through dirk later on. i want to get my hopes up about the defensive improvement, and apparently some want to put it on nash being out, but to me its simply a case of the opponent not featuring the lakers greatest weakness, pnr play with a quick pg.

Collison was giving Blake trouble when he started pressing him full court, other than that I did not see any blow-by's like you see with Nash in there and Blake has defensive awareness to funnel his man to help, which is so much better. I just got mad at him for not being able to protect the ball but he likely needed some screens to bring the ball up the court, which they did in the 4th quarter.

I'm not saying its just Nash being out but Metta being out has become a big blessing in disguise to this team. I'd like to see us close this season out with these line ups to see if Nash & Metta are the trade and amnesty candidates after all and not Pau. Like Kobe said Pau has been shredding defenses when you put him at the elbow, making it so much easier for Kobe & Dwight.

Nash gets eaten alive every game yet we're supposed to bite our lip because he's Steve Nash. The only thing I care about is winning and if the last two games proved anything it's there's not enough balls to go around. Kobe needs the ball to play with a certain rhythm and at this point I just don't see how nashs offense makes up for his lack of defense
