Kyle Singler and Jerebko for Amir Johnson?

Post#1 » by piston1423 » Tue Apr 2, 2013 12:28 am

I think Amir has become a good role player for the Raptors and is better than Maxiell and also still pretty young. Then we can try to sign Andre Iguodala and Mayo. Draft Otto Porter and SG and sign a back up PG(Calderon?)

Knight/Calderon
Mayo/Draft pick
Iguodala/Porter
Monroe/Johnson
Drummond/Kravtsov

Haha, now you guys want to trade Singler?..I actually think he'll be productive coming off the bench...Singler just makes my Pistons look bad as a starter...Your trade proposal is actually a fair deal, Amir contract may be too expensive for my liking though...

Amir is arguably the most valuable player on the Raptors and one of the most underrated players in the league.

Plays D like a beast, super efficient offense, and an amazing character guy for the city and team. Not to mention he is an absolute warrior, he's been playing on a bum ankle most of the year.

Raps would NEVER ever do that. Amir is a boss and you want the raps to give up a piece on an excellent contract for two scrubs?

so i understand this, Amir>Gay, DD, Lowry, Bargs, Ross? You guys are wasting a lot of money if Amir is your MVP.

soooo he's basically maxiell but more efficient?

as for the OP

i wouldn't mind amir, but this trade is honestly a wash. We are trading one roll player for another, of which neither is going to take us over the top. Additionally JJ is on a good contract and singler is cheap. no reason to waste cap space on a bench guy

Yes, he's definitely been better than dd Lowry Bargs and Ross (not sure why you even put Bargnani and Ross in there). Yes, we are wasting lots of money.
And I said he is our most valuable player, not necessarily our "best" player, which would have to be Gay. When he is on the floor, the team is simply much better. Part of this is because Casey is a moron who hasn't been giving Valanciunas touches or minutes up until now and has neutered Kyle Lowry.

Way more efficient and better at literally everything else, yes.
Scores more, higher rebound rates, higher assist rates, better defender...
Etc

And Amir is the type of player that can start on a good team (not as the MVP obviously) or be an amazing first big off the bench for a contender.

Not even comparable to guys like jerebko, singler or Maxiell.
