that would be kind of embarrassing, we'd have to be the first professional franchise ever whos coach left to take a college job.

Well it would be a case of him quitting before he was fired one would assume. Also it would be sold as him being able to spend more time home with his ailing wife.

Yeah I guess, its just weird seeing a head coach of a pro team on a college teams short list of coaching candidates.

Bobby Petrino, and Nick Saban would like a word with you. Though it might be the first time it happens to a basketball franchise.

I doubt Frank will have a chance at taking the job, unless the job is still open by the time the NBA season is over.

Pitino is a completely different situation. He was a legendary college coach who made the mistake of jumping to the pros, a move he now considers the biggest mistake of his life.

I don't necessarily think it would be an embarassment, though, at least not a big one.

Nope Saban left on his own too. He alleast left after the season was over, unlike Petrino.

It might be an embarrassment if an established coach left a pro team to coach college. Actually its rumored Mike Babcock wants to do that very thing in the future. Him and Holland haven't been seeing eye to eye for awhile.

Frank is more suited as a college coach. This will also help lure in another coach since Joe wouldn't really be firing Frank for an unjustified reason if Frank shows any interest whatsoever in the gig.

I actually think college could be Frank's calling. He's an excellent pitchman, so he'd probably be really good at recruiting. Plus he started out under Bobby Knight, so maybe his whole coaching philosophy is right, its just better suited for the college game.

He's also from NJ and can be closer to his wife.

When you consider how bad he's failed in the NBA, versus all the positives of coaching in college, I'm not sure why he wouldn't choose that route instead.

One things for sure...they wouldn't have to worry about Frank physically intimidating any of the students.

Pitino did it twice.

He left the Knicks after a 50 win season to take UK, Then left UK for the Celtics.
