I still think Hendo's value and recent performance will be tainted by the Bobcats name in free agency. As you can see journalist don't even mention him as a free agent to look out for this Summer. Any team that has $7-9 million to spend on the SG position will go after the O.J. Mayo's and J.R. Smith's of the league long before they attempt to blow their wad on the afterthought known as Hendo. I think we'll be able to retain him for $5-7 million on a long term deal.

Sorry your AWESOME thread got locked.
What team do you support anyway? Just wondering, you were onto Gerald Henderson as a starting SG long before anyone other than the Bobcats fans.

I'm a Maverick fan first, and then I just follow individual players (mostly up-and-comers like Henderson). I went to Chapel Hill the same time Henderson was throwing bows at Duke, so even though I didn't like him at first, I caught a few glimpses of his game and thought he had potential. I'm glad he's finally realizing some of that potential, and I hope he stays healthy, consistent, and aggressive.

Lost in the scuffle Bismack had 11 rebounds. He's progressing in that area. Now that he's finally learning how to catch the ball I think this offseason he'll be able to focus on post moves and finishing around the rim offensively.

Re: GT April 3rd: Charlotte Vs Philadelphia 7:00pm
It's been a while since I've done my random thoughts on a game after watching it the next day...
Uncle Steve and Dell annoyed when they tried to hype up the game by claiming that Philly is fighting for the playoffs and that this is an important game for them. I understand the Sixers crew doing this, but why the hell do our announcers need to do this!? I seriously hope they were laughing it off off the mics and that the producers made them do this. Sometimes it's hard to stand the positive angle commentators are supposed to take. Do the producers really think we're so dumb that we don't know about teams tanking during spring?
Biz really botched that play which ended up with Hawes posterizing Ben Gordon. I don't know whether it was only me but it seemed to be that our guys made a whole lot of unnecessary rotations during the first half. Why the hell does our big need to do something like go across the paint to double a Damien Wilkins post up!? Especially when mind-boggling rotations like this one always end up in our guys getting confused, making bad switches and opponent bigs grabbing rebounds, making putback dunks just because of those mis-matches.
A truly random thought - how many techs has Dunlap picked up during this season? The thought struck me when Henderson got absolutely robbed by the ref right in front of Dunlap and any other coach would have argued until he got the message forward that he's not happy with the calls. I can't recall the last time Dunlap has sent such a message as it can be very beneficial for the coach's team.
How the hell is Damien Wilkins still relevant? He seemed to be their best player when in fact he's one of those guys who you think of as a overseas guy who didn't hang on in the league, yet upon checking out his basketball-reference page find out that he's played 20-something games for a lottery-bound team just this season.
I liked the performance by Turtle off the bench, it's hard to understand him though. He definitely has the talent to score and us having plenty of legit NBA pros like him is one of the reasons why I predicted us going for 27 or something wins before the season started.
Something that I've been noticed as of late just because I've been paying more attention to Hendo with his expiring contract in mind. In my opinion, he's a terrible off-ball defender. Just pay attention to the open threes we give up because of him due to the poor decisions he makes. He might have good intentions in his mind, yet he tends to leave his assignment too wide open when trying to be an active weakside defender. There are times where there is no need to drift so far away from your man when you're helping out on a cut by Lavoy Allen, per example. A Dorell Wright corner three is way more dangerous.
For some reason, I genuinely enjoyed Jrue's struggles. He broke Allen Iverson's and Chris Webber's "record" of having to take 21 field goals to make 2 (Holiday attempted 24).
Sad to see Kwame on the bench. We probably will be the fanbase who enjoyed his play the most. That's not saying much, but he was a damn good big body for us.
McBob!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The steal Hendo made on the in-bound pass at the end of the game is exactly why we need a rule for not being allowed to call two time-outs in a row. If you can't inbound the ball, you're not supposed to win the game - it should be that easy. Thank god, we didn't see Turner take a bail out time-out at the last moment and then have to wait for another 2 minutes for Philly to re-start the game. It, of course, would have robbed our guys of a steal they deserved after playing solid D and denying the ball.
