I just feel like no matter what Kobe always wanted to be the main reason why we won instead of just winning like making the right play or the extra pass, whatever. but again if he plays like in that Dallas game then there's no telling how far we can go in the playoffs

I think he'll sign an extension for a year and his last year will be the same as Nash's.

As well as Kobe has played this year there's absolutely no reason to think he can't play two or three more at a high level. Especially if he cuts his minutes back just a bit. If Dwight's healthy next year I see no reason why Kobe won't be able to comfortably get away with playing 30-32 minutes per game...

Yup...he could play if he wanted to,it's a matter if he still wants to,not if he can

Like he said,he could probably embrace the facilitator role for a year or two

Since he became the primary playmaker,he's averaged 7.7 apg(7.9 if you take out the Indy game where he barely played).....and it's not an aberration,it's a 32 game sample size already

And he even didn't go full passing mode for all those games,he had plenty of games in which he looked to score more

Maybe he'll go the Wilt route and lead the league in assists,to prove a point

There's absolutely no doubt in my mind that he COULD do just that.....if he would concentrate on that(he's still gonna score,he has that in his DNA,but instead of 30/5, go for 20/11)
Getting a knockdown shooter in place of MWP and maybe reliable stretch 4 would help tremendously also

Fanboy moment...

Kobe is putting up insane games still in his mid 30s. jordan couldn't even really do that (not that he didn't put up some huge games still). This is the tail end of a legacy. Championship or bust no question, but the hate is just uncalled for. Of course he's flawed, he's like every player ever.

and when kobe's exploits have retired into the annals of history, some young kid on an internet forum will look back at kobe's stats and make uninformed baseless misrepresentations of his gameplay.

Something a lot of people fail to acknowledge or are unwilling to address is that much of the past three seasons Kobe has played through injuries which have had a significant impact on is efficiency. Most notably at the start of last season he tore a ligament in his wrist and two seasons before that he managed to get an avulsion fracture in the index finger of his shooting hand. Instead of allowing both injuries to heal before returning to the court he chose to play on.

Oh man, I'm pretty sure someone's already all over that action.

Spoiler:
but in the future they'll be forming baseless opinions in 3-D
