Re: Pat Tabler
Tabler was always the bases loaded guy for sure. Better they don't talk about it though because it would come across as Leo-esque.

Re: Pat Tabler
we just need Vin Scully
that man does both jobs and fills in every possible second with dialogue-- definitely not a 'less is more' guy. just a good ol' fashioned throwback.
personally, i love him and those of his ilk.

Yeah, Scully's voice will always sound like baseball. Is Bob Costas still alive?

J-Roc wrote:Any thoughts on Jack Morris? I heard him yesterday talking about RA Dickey winning the Cy. How other pitchers had great seasons...Gio Gonzalez and Clayton Kershaw. Jack then goes on to say how those guys had great seasons, but there was no doubt Dickey was the winner. I personally didn't follow the NL Cy race, so I was looking forward to hearing about whatever stats meant Dickey was no doubt the winner.
Jack Morris goes on to explain how Dickey was such a great story, doing what he's done, so late in his career, and how those other guys have plenty of time to win. lol So if that's what Jack Morris is bringing to the table...sigh
Jack is ok, but definitely a downgrade from Ashby. He often has some good stories to tell but his analysis is pretty run of the mill old school stuff.

Agreed. Chose to watch their broadcast today and it was pretty enjoyable to hear the game called fairly evenly. Obviously they still leaned towards the Indians, but it was nowhere near the homerism we're used to hearing.

It was so annoying last year how he kept saying how much fun he would have when Rajai got on base

I actually like Pat. He knows his stuff and doesnt embarrass himself. I however cannot stand Rance! He has that case of the family guy or whatever it was harsh "WH" sound with his W's. "WHat ONce WHence WHere WHas yesterdays WHacky WHednesday game!" just cant stand his voice like others said its too bad cuz he provides the best tactical insight.
