Who would you take, Jeremy Lin or J.R Smith, Novak and Iman Shumpert? Exactly. Because with an overpaid Lin on our roster we'd have no chance to extend both of J.R Smith and Steve Novak along with matching Shumpert's team option of $2,761,113 come 2014/2015.

We wouldn't be worse, but Lin would be in James White's role.

The team as we see it was gonna happen regardless, it wouldn't have been Lin or Felton.

Felton signed on thinking Lin would have been here too.

Just like Kidd and Pablo.

Lin would have been bench insurance, not a bad piece to mentor and learn the position.

Bench insurance? He would have been the best guard on the team. Yes, even better than JR Smith, who's been abysmal except during his hot run early in the year and his hot run now.

I actually think Pablo is our best pg, and he was riding pine alot.

To be mentored, you have to take notes, Lin would have done alot of watching.

Not saying he wouldn't have played at all, but he wasn't gonna be 1st or 2nd string.

lin would have never stayed here & accepted a bench role. Ray would have never come if he would be coming off the bench. so yeah. not sure why we are discussing something that would never happan

I think Gallo is a just okay overall player who's hit his ceiling, and he's definitely not the most important player for the Nuggets since Chandler fills in for him easily. But a lot of you seem to just instinctively trash former players for this team, because Gallo is a much better player on both sides of the court than Faried - who's an awful defender despite his highlight blocks, and has an out-of-control offensive game - and is probably the Nuggets' best defender outside of Iggy. Never was a huge Gallo fan, but a lot of you throw out this **** like you actually watch the games when you clearly don't.

Lawson and Iggy are that team's best/most valuable players; Faried is just an energy player and far from their most important player.

Gallinari is obviously their other offensive star but he's also mediocre defensively while Wilson Chandler is just a solid two-way player and as is evidenced, can step up in his absence.

No one can replace Faried on that team though, he's a threat every where on the court as a Rodman lite with offensive game.

Gallo is their second best defender after iggy. He is far from mediocre defensively, look at the on/off and def rating stats. He was their best overall two way player this season

Also Faried is mediocre on defense and often sits out in the 4th due to being a liability. Lawson is also terrible defensively

Corey Brewer is the second-best defender after Iggy.

Gallo is ok defensively. He does the job most of the time, but doesn't really wow you on defense.

Gallo is their best two-way player especially since Iggy blows on offense. Illson isn't as consistent enough on offense to be a good enough two-way player.

hell no....Laker fans need to shut their mouths for a year or two...or 15, hopefully. They've been annoying for over a decade now, it's time for them to find a new team to bandwagon until they draft the next superstar.

plus they dont keep their draft pick if they miss out. Insult on top of injury. Glorious times.

Jazz beat Warriors tonight and have tiebreaker against Lakers and .5 lead.

Somehow can't imagine LA missing. Here's the schedules:

LAL:
Hornets
@Blazers
Warriors
Spurs
Rockets

UTA:
Thunder
Wolves
@Wolves
Grizzlies

Lakers' schedule is tougher. Jazz should only lose twice, Lakers maybe twice but Lakers need to gain a game in the loss column.

Shaky. Comes down to who chokes first. Losing to Wolves in Minny seems like the likely choke point for Utah who struggles on the road.

If the Lakers miss the playoffs, I will be sad for Kobe but happy for the fact that Steve Nash went to LA. Couldn't believe all the delusional Knick fans who actually believed that prick who lives in Manattan in the off season would be interested after years of having the opportunity of coming as a FA and taking a pay cut. He's a fraud. Another player who puts up nice numbers but does not have leadership value.

why be sad for Kobrick? He's got 5 rings...three thanks to Shaq...but still. No sympathy at all from me.

now Nash...I agree. To think one of my favorite all-time PG's turned out to be a traitorous, duplicitous scumbag. I thought he was one of the good guys. But once the Lakers came calling, he was only too eager to turn his back on everything he believed in for a chance to win a ring (oh I'm sorry....."be closer to his kids").

Lakers have to miss playoffs because of Dwight. Kobe is okay, Dwight is not.
