Even the people who started off liking hunter have to admit now he is 10 times worse then Gentry.
Dan Bickley definitely does not like hunter.
@danbickley Louis amundson to robin lopez for a dunk? Suns defense is a joke, much worse than it was under Alvin Gentry

Classic, we are starting and playing second and third string players, a PF as a center, and people are comparing this half of the season to the first half.
All while the players all know that most of their fans want them to lose. This just gets dumber and dumber.
We lost by three, and they shot ten more free throws than us, big whoop.

Re: Game 77: Hornets@Suns
A distinct possibility they end the year losing 18 of 19 games. Thats quite the feat.
And rundog (I am really not trying to start one of our endless debates here) what point are you trying to make with the FT disparity? Merely pointing it out or do you feel they are constantly getting screwed? There are reasons the Suns do not get to the line at the same rate as the opposition and it has far more to do with the Suns lazy and late defensive rotations and bad defensive rebounding than officiating.
Even just looking at the box score I would be more be more inclined to blame the rebounding disparity than the fouls (New Orleans actually committed more total fouls, just less shooting ones).

I think it has to do with quoting one of the most ignorant AZ Republic reporters in Dan Dickley. Only he and maybe few other people would be stupid enough to compare Hunter and Gentry at this point in the season. It should be obvious Gentry played they best players (Gortat, Dudley, Dragic, Scola) to get his limited set of wins. Hunter had to play the youth and still has earned about the same number of wins as Gentry. Mr Dickley comparing apples to oranges as usual. No respect for that dufus.
Edit: If Dickley even fired up a braincell he would recognize that Gortat and ONeal are both out too.

Look at the suns vs warriors game stats:
Your argument is weak as usual. Youth, how much did Marshall and Marcus play. They didnt even brake the 7 minute mark. He played all the veterans.
As for your weak argument of having gortat and o'neal. Well o'neal played.
Oh yeah your right gortat was tearing up the league before he got hurt. Get the f$&@ out of here. Stop trying to church up hunter. And take your tongue out of hunters butt. He sucks.
As far as reporters. Every reporter in in PHOENIX hates hunter and blanks. The only reporter that doesn't is coro. So I guess in your book coro is the only good reporter.

Re: Game 77: Hornets@Suns
JO didn't play last night. Marshall played nineteen minutes, which is quite a good amount of minutes, and nineteen more than he saw under Gentry.
Bigfoot seemed very clear and to the point. Calling an argument weak, with only opinions (a few completely fabricated) to back it up, doesn't make it so.
Praz, we often get the short end of the stick when it comes to calls, which is not limited to just this season. Even at home, this happens. But to me losing by three, when the other team shoots an extra ten from the line, says a lot to me. This doesn't mean it is the refs against us, necessarily, some of it may have to do with our terrible fan base that go to games. We don't make it a tough place to play. Also with many socalled fans wanting the team to lose, the whole atmosphere is crap. I feel that many games both teams foul fairly equally, and sometimes the calls are not equally called. To me, a foul is a foul.
For example, JVG was complaining about Barnes fouling Kobe last night, and trying to plead his case to the refs, but later when Kobe does the same exact foul, JVG says it was a good block shot. (The refs got the calls correct, but even an objective viewer can see it wrong) It's been going on for years, and some teams (and players) seem to benefit more than others, and I think it is wrong. Nothing wrong in wanting games called equally.

Ok you got me, I didn't realize I was quoting the suns vs warriors stats. Golf clap. Live up your one victory.
Yea the suns lost because the fouls weren't called equal. Lol.

Re: Game 77: Hornets@Suns
Ha, never said that is why we lost.
Just pointed out that we lost by three and they shot ten more free throws. Not much to blame Hunter for. Again we are playing second and third stringers, some of which are starting, so I don't understand why this moronic argument comes up everyday and after every game.
We are in the midst of a not well planned out rebuild, we let go almost our whole coaching staff, because they were soft on players, bad habits were not discouraged, and we have crappy fans that instead of wanting players to succeed, they are wanting them to fail.
Much of our future is in cap space and nine picks over three years. Can't we wait some of this out?
It's a heck of a lot for a team to digest in a season.
BTW, just because many of us understand that it is impossible to compare the two halves of the season do to huge differences in variables, in no way means we love Hunter. Don't ignore many comments wanting a real coaching staff, to use a made up opinion about how one feels about this FO, owner, or current coach.

Re: Game 77: Hornets@Suns
I guess I view it different. Watching the games I dont think its our lack of an intimidating crowd or the refs not calling it the same both ways. Our FT disparity is a symptom of the teams play. We take a ton of jump shots, very little ability on the roster to attack the rim, equals few FT opportunities, and our bad defense which is frequently late getting to spots and bad in transition... and that gives up a lot of offensive rebounds. Those things add up to lots of FT opportunities for the opposition.
I also think we have some guys who mistake being physical with playing physical defense, especially Morris.

You put a Bickley in-game tweet about how the Suns defense is worse than it was under Alvin Gentry. Then start the usual harping on Hunter but don't have common sense enough to think why the defense might be worse. For example, playing younger players and missing Gortat. FYI,
Gentry with Gortat (13-28 or .317)
Hunter with Gortat (8-11 or .421)
Hunter without Gortat (2-15 or .118)
Those numbers seem to indicate Gortat played a significant role in the Suns defense under Hunter. I think now you should take your foot out of your mouth or head out of your *** or both.
