So, DFA'ing one player is going to make another player feel less confident about his future, but placing a waiver claim on that same player doesn't have the reverse effect of actually making the player feel more confident ?
And even if they did, who cares ?
They are organizational depth.
My only qualm is that it's Gonzalez being added to the 25, again leaving us with unnecessary bloat in the pen and limited options for in-game maneuvering.
Which of these guys is taking the final few 40 man spots isn't really worth any concern though. Spots on the 40 man are always fluid and players who are at risk of being DFA'd generally understand this is the nature of the game.
