Magic's impact before 1988 doesn't look "top 10 all time level" like.

My overall impression of Magic aside, he wasn't even an all-nba 1st teamer until 1983, so I'd consider 1981 pre-prime (he was 21 years old). 1984 isn't an impressive change, but it isn't unimpressive either. Then you've got the heart of his career where the 86 team does well and the 88 team falls apart. Of course, I'd similarly note that the 92 team fell apart without Magic...
