This thread is a joke at this point. Every GM in the league would take Wall #1 without a second thought. He always had the superstar upside that nobody else (except perhaps Cousins) has, and now he's showing it.

Amen, Hayward has played great and he's in a poor situation. I probably wouldn't take him over Wall, George, Monroe, or Sanders, but I'd certainly pick him before Vasquez, Bradley, Ed Davis, etc...

His efficiency is way below average for a big man though..

That's because he takes a ton of stupid jumpers, not necessarily because he doesn't have finishing ability down low. His problems are mental, not physical. No one on the Kings coaching staff is telling him to stop taking fadeaway jumpers so he continues to do it.

If he went to a better organization and received proper coaching on how to play, he would easily be a top 3 big man.

I won't argue Cousins over Wall simply because a big man with his potential under proper coaching probably would be better then Wall...I'll leave George alone for now as well...but Lin? He's an averagish starting PG..

Favors, Ed Davis, Vasquez, Larry Sanders, Monroe and maybe even Avery Bradley are all better players.

Now hes averagish... Lol early this season haters predict he'll be back in the d-league by this time.

Lol look at the 'better' players list lmao

It's obvious that if you're a team bad enough to be picking #1, you have to take Wall (with the knowledge you have today). Cousins is the only one with comparable potential, but you don't want to build a franchise around him for other reasons.

1. George
2. Monroe
3. Wall
4. Favors
5. Sanders
6. Cousins
7. Hayward
8. Bradley
9. Turner
10. Bledsoe

I'm not quite sold on Wall being better than George or Monroe yet as teams will probably re-scout Wall now that he is playing like he is. The other reason I chose those two over him is because of how deep PG is these days, while good young wings seem hard to find and talented bigs like Monroe are not easy to come by either. But, it also would depend on team needs.

Wasting a top 5 pick on Lin. Wow. Some of you would make crap GMs.

His efficiency has improved and he's worked on a jump shot that wasn't there before.

This hasn't been just a hot month, he's showing major signs of growth and leadership as a basketball player. On an injured riddled team he's managed to keep above 500 since he's returned no less.

I would easily take him number one. I don't think George and Monroe and franchise guys, solid but they don't have Wall's potential. And Cousins is fools gold. He's done absolutely nothing in three years to sway my opinion.

I don't think people realize how good wall has been playing. He isn't just playing at an all star level, he has been the second best player in the nba during that 17 game stretch. I'm not even joking.

I just don't see how people can pick anyone but wall, he's been the best player this year and has the most potential. What more do you want to see?

Re-scout him how though..??

His jumper and his half-court game have improved significantly (pretty much overnight), his efficiency over his "hot streak" is through the roof.. Defenders cannot cheat on him by going under the screen anymore.. I would say he's pretty damn unguardable right now..

He's finally showing what he's capable of being; which is (arguably) the best PG in the league..

This is the real Wall. I don't think we would have seen it for another year or so without the stress injury. Injuries like that have a way of slowing guys down. Wall wasn't the scorer he is now during his first week, but everything else was the same--playing slower, seeing the floor better, decision making. He slumped after that and took criticism, and now he's been playing great against playoff teams (good defensive teams playing for something) for almost 2 months now.

I'm kind of blown away by the progression. He's finally realizing that he has to score to be respected.

Well, before people sagged off him for his shot, now they have to respect his shot. They may need to throw double teams at him now and force him to pass/play the double team.

The other thing I would worry about Wall, is that he is the epitome of a player who does rely on his athleticism. Between age and injuries throughout his career, I wonder how sustainable his peak will be.

thats not true. Thats the old Wall. He has the J now and he is disecting defenses in the half court. He's playing very smart. He's killer on the p&r where he can either shoot the mid range J, kick it back to the big, or he can pass it all the way cross court for the open 3 which he is probably the best in the league at doing right now
