Re: Spring '13 GMAT Discussion Thread
Desperation setting in. I NEED to trade salary. In total I need to save like 15 million.
I will trade Butler, Crawford, and Hawes for less 15 million less in salary. I will take a downgrade, BUT only if I save 15 million and get back a PF/C and SG/SF. Preferably I get at least one good young guy back. Just send anything. Deal must be done by tomorrow.

Btw I would be willing to give Lawson for a cheaper PG of similar caliber. Key word- SIMILAR CALIBER. For example, Avery Bradley is not similar caliber.

BIG NEWS EVERYBODY!
Imma dumbass... I have 11 million in cap. I made a mistake in my adding... Jesus Christ I was ready to take some terrible offer... Okay, I only need 4 million in cap. This is a lot more reasonable. Looking to trade Hawes or Marshall and Miles.

Re: Spring '13 GMAT Discussion Thread
Looking to package Kendall Marshall, CJ Miles, and Hawes for a PF/C upgrade where I preferably save 4 million.
cavs2013realgm@gmail.com
Also, Karma or others that know, if I have, let's say, 49,500,000 on the books to offer maximum amount possible do I offer 10,500,000 or can I go up to let's say 11 million slightly exceeding the cap? Also I currently am under the cap, but when I likely use my MLE I will be on the cap. Do I get the mini or the full?

Cap is cap, and the rule is that if you're signing FA with space, you cannot go above this soft cap. Since you have cap, you can only have access to the mini MLE. You waive rights to use full MLE by going the cap space route.

Re: Spring '13 GMAT Discussion Thread
Houston has 21 mill in cap space so anyone who needs more/wants a free agent send me an offer. Could deal kemba/Thompson for someone who is better but makes more to save u money.

Re: Spring '13 GMAT Discussion Thread
I'm debating not make any more offers in FA.
I'm not sure if there is a max player left, and I think every other player will get overpaid.
If you want to save money instantly, I have alot of cap.
IF your interested in KG or Melo, you better have a real legit offer, or I'm not even gonna respond.
Get creative with your thinking.

Re: Spring '13 GMAT Discussion Thread
Question: I traded for cap space and expirings in an attempt to fill my void at point guard and sign Chris Paul. He just resigned with the Chicago Bulls...what am I going to do? Who's going to run the point for my team?
Answer:

Contact the Detroit Pistons for all your point guard needs!
Looking for a starting small forward!

Anyone want Andrew Nicholson? I won't deal him unless I get a good SF back. I have cap space to absorb bigger contracts.

Re: Spring '13 GMAT Discussion Thread
This is where the Pelicans stand right now:
G. Hill / B. Roberts / Ja. Pargo
B. McLemore / G. Henderson (RFA) / P. Tucker
O. Porter / C. Budinger (UFA-BR) / G. Green
A. Davis / J. Hill / Q. Miller
A. Bynum / H. Thabeet / J. Adrien
-I intend to bring back both Henderson and Budinger.
-I like my starting unit a lot. It would take an extremely tempting offer to trade any of them.
-I like my second unit as is, but am a little more flexible to deal here, especially at PG, PF, C.
-I like my third string SG, and SF, but not really attached to any of them.
-I am willing to stand pat on trades for remainder of game if nothing satisfactory comes up.
