You're losing a steam bro. I think that you should sit out until the playoffs and regain some trolling stamina.

Another great game from Lebron, and as has been the case lately, he didn't seem to need to exert much effort. He finished with 28/7/7 on 78 TS% (he had two and-1s, so he only used 2 possessions for 6 FTs) in just 30 minutes while in coast mode. He's just unreal.

Finished with 28/7/7 2 steals, 1 block, 3 TOs, 11-16 shooting, in 30 minutes. Pretty nice cap off to the season.

Last 40 G

Code: Select all

MP    PTS    TRB    AST    STL    BLK    TOV   TS%    eFG%   GmSc   ORTG
37.5  27.7   7.8    7.6    1.9    0.9    3.1  .664   .624    25.9   129

That's a PER just under 37 sustained over 40 games.

Last 7 G

That's about a PER of 43.

Also, he's 8 points away from 2000 on the season. My bet is that he'll play at least one more game.

Yeah he was interviewed today how he'd take some time off when the heat lock up the #1 seed but he didn't say anything about this being his last reg. season game of the season.

If you leave it to LeBron he'll play big minutes in every single game. I know that they had to deactivate him when he was on the Cavs.

Before the game he suggested that the coaches had talked him out of playing every game.

For ardee

With tonight's game, Lebron's at a WS/48 of 0.3208, just a tiny bit behind Jordan's best of 0.3211. Another decent game would put him in the top five, kicking Jordan out. The all time record won't happen, but it's a legit possibility next season. He's been at 0.351 since 2013 began (44 G) and that's WELL ahead of Kareem's record mark in 72. FTR he's been at about 0.390 since he "turned it on" (last 40 G).

Also after tonight's game, Lebron's at a PER of 31.66, literally a tenth of a point behind his own 09 mark of 31.67. He needs a 44.41 PER in his next game to eclipse Wilt's 31.82 for a 31.83. That's a bit weaker than the game he had tonight, and about what he's averaged in the last 2 weeks or so. A bigger game would probably push him over the top. If he plays a couple more than 32.0 is back in play.

Doesn't the way the rest of the league performs over the next 10 days matter too? Cause it's set against league average...

Yeah, but the shifts won't be as dramatic at this point in the season, with so many games already played. Still, if James hits 31.83 and then sits out, there's more than a strong chance that he actually closes the season at something like 31.75, because of that very factor (this could just as well apply the other way). He'd need some comfort room to really have a good shot at taking it.

At this point in the season it probably makes no difference how well the field does given the sample size we're working against.

I just want to get this out there, when people discuss the best scorer in the league currently there seems to be the trio of Melo, Durant and Kobe as people's recognised best scorers.

I'm not sure if people realise that Lebron James has the third highest scoring average in history after Jordan's 30.12 and Wilt's 30.07.

This is incredible for a guy who is so much more than a scorer and imo who truly is the best current scorer in the league, we are talking about currently the third best scorer per game in NBA/ABA history.

http://www.basketball-reference.com/lea ... areer.html

Just a thought.

P.S

Durant is seventh all time at 26.61

Well, when we're only talking about .17 points off the record, it seemed possible that the league factor could budge it closer.

Problem is, Miami needs to win 1 more win to clinch HC for the entirety of the playoffs. LeBron will most likely be rested the rest of the season if they win tomorrow night(or their competitors lose). 1 more game is all LeBron has to eclipse some of MJ's records. The only one I care about is the PER record. I know Wilt has the highest one, but who takes that seriously? Beating MJ's PER from '88 should be the goal. He needs to try to go for a BIG game tomorrow. He usually tries to be put on a show in Washington.

Yes it is. For instance the game against Charlotte Lebron didn't even play and his WS jumped from 18.02 to 18.07 without even playing and his WS/PER 48 minutes went from .3140 to .3150 the same game and he didn't even play.
