USC may have a lot of players who end up being high draft picks and end up being busts or career backups, but I don't see how that's any worse than the hordes of "major" NCAA football programs who only produce an NFL starting caliber or Pro Bowl caliber player once every decade. (I can't even believe that as an Oregon fan, I'm defending USC lol).

LOLSteve Smith is flat out awful. I hope you mean Utah's Steve Smith, because USC's Steve Smith is not even a real football player
USC is one of the worst places that produces WR, and as for everybody else is just average to who cares.
LAKESHOW and kdawg32086 are smoking that brain killing rocks

Not really a big deal. if you can get after the QB, then you can get after the QB. you don't need speed to be an elite pass rusher, Simon Rice and Jevon Kearse are 4.4 guys, but JJ Watt, Suggs, and Kevin Greene back in the day did fine at raking up sacks.
the only time that 40 times should be taken seriously is with CB, everybody else, it doesn't seem to matter. just look at WRs, Steve Largent, Wes Welker, and Jerry Rice all had horrible 40 times, but are great WRs

All those guys are at least 20lbs. heavier than Jones though...JJ Watt has over 40lbs. on JJ and still managed a faster 40. This year we even saw some offensive line guys running better times.
Jones is a good football player but he is not a premier athlete, at least not by NFL standards.
