BS time membership requirements keeps me from posting on the GB sadly

You are missing nothing. Welcome. You are off to a nice start here. The GB is where people go to lose hair and brain cells. Its a bad, bad place.

Amen to that.

On topic, D-Will is definitely stepping up at the right time...

BTW, D-Will now has a 118 ORating and .180 WS/48.

I personally don't care for WS/48, but FWIW, it's the highest of his career, even higher than his 08 or 10 seasons. The 118 ORating, which I actually do consider important, is tied for the highest of his career with his 08 season.

What's wrong with WS/48?

I'm just not sure what it tells you exactly?

It's more just ignorance on my part, probably...like, I know what it's supposed to measure, but I'm just not sure how it measures how many wins a player is responsible for, and I'm not sure if you can translate solely the box score into how many wins a player is responsible for.

IDK, I usually use PER and ORating if I want a quick summary of a player's box score production. Even then, I'm not a huge fan of PER. ORating is only useful when you're comparing similar players, imo, or if you're comparing someone to themselves (like 08 Deron vs 13 Deron)...a player like Duncan, whose main contributions are on defense and on the glass, shouldn't be compared using ORating to someone like Tony Parker, whose main contributions are on offense.

Fun fact: Deron has never had home court advantage in his career

I know the official story is that he took some cortisone shots in his feet and did a colon cleanse and then BAM! he's dunking like he's 22 again but come on guys just don't markedly improve their physique mid-season...if anything, it takes months of diligent daily workouts to transform your body the way DWill has changed since the beginning of the season, and that's almost impossible to accomplish with the wear-and-tear accumulated playing 4 games a week all around the country...impossible unless you're getting a little help on the side.

Yeah, cuz PEDs have an instantaneous effect on your ability.

I wanna play like D-Will so I think I'm going to take some PEDs this weekend and I should be at his level by Wednesday.
