Eh? Please elaborate.
#Raptors are 7-1. In 6 of the past 10 seasons, a team that has started a season 7-1 has gone on to win an NBA championship.

Did u watch baseball back then? I was a little kid when he was playing for the Jays but even I recognized how garbage he was, he blew so many saves, it felt like any time he came on the Jays were doomed. Im probably overreacting but I just remember getting worried whenever he came out

He was the worst closer I've had to watch in a Jays uniform, and we've had Kevin Gregg and Frank Francisco close games for us..

I guess you've blocked Blowdero out of your mind. Batista wins because he was our closer for a whole season.

I was a casual fan back when Batista was brought in to "deepen" the starting rotation and he eventually got demoted to closer for not being able to handle a starter's role the longer he stayed withe Jays. I remember he was subpar in both roles but I never realized he was so garbage to that extent.

Of course nothing can replace the Ward/Henke duo.

I don't know I'd gladly take Timlin/Ward

Henke was pretty shaky that last year

Oh yes Mike Timlin! I always felt a sense of relief when the Jays had the lead and I see him chugging from the bullpen down to the mound. Ward would then come out and it'd be like "Finish it off, big fella."
