Lind will mysteriously have his kneecaps broken in a freak tire iron accident outside the Dome, and will go on the 15-day.

That's not how Greeks handle these types of issues.

My bet is one of Davis or Bonifacio go via trade. Actually, if the team insists on keeping DeRosa, both of them may have to go in order to bring in a competent middle infielder backup.

Blanco/Thole
Wells
DeRosa
Middle infielder.
Nick Nurse recounting his first meeting with Kawhi:
“We could have gone forever. (Raptors management) kept knocking on the door and I was like, ‘A couple more minutes.’ Because we were really into it."

The more I look into him, the more I think they absolutely have to make room for Wells when Lawrie comes back. This needs to be a long-term thing. He's a better player than Davis, Bonifacio, and DeRosa when you account with his good defense (at all three OF positions) and his offensive utility as a platoon option.

None of the "Greeks" on the Wire were even Greek... just saying

I tend to agree with this, although I'd only look to trade one of Davis/Bonifacio (to keep one as a pinch runner) and dump Derosa. I know the team likes Derosa's vet presence, but he looks finished. I bet Davis/Bonifacio could actually fetch a decent return for a team lacking in speed who wants that threat late in games.

This is what I'd like to see:
Blanco
Wells
Davis/Bonifacio
Middle infielder

When you have a 13 man pitching staff, you don't use a roster spot on a pinch runner. If we keep Wells, then Davis and Bonifacio become even more redundant.

Well, if it were up to me they'd only have 7 relievers, although I understand why they want to have 8 early on in the season.

The Wells claim should (hopefully) signal the death of this I'll conceived 13 man staff.

But it does make one of Bonifacio/Davis redundant for when Lawrie returns.

It'll be interesting to see though if any other moves are made between now and then.

One of those guys I thought had a chance, but he strikes out way to often, even for a platoon situation. Does have a good glove and decent speed, but don't see him here that long. If he is, guess Rajai's outta here.
