Give home plate umps a a device about the size of a cell phone which they hold in their hand during play
As the pitch crosses the plate a red or green light flashes on the device
red = ball, green = strike
Problem solved
The MLB won't like it because it takes away from umpires that have their own strikezone.
-I believe that the umpiring crew should be expanded to 5.
-Managers should be given 3 challanges throughout the game. If their first 2 are unsuccessful, then the 3rd one is taken away. If all 3 are successful, the manager can keep challanging until he is unsucessful.
-The 5th umpire is in the pressbox, ready to take on challanges made by the manager. The Homeplate umpire should wear a headset so he can quickly communicate with umpire in the pressbox and get the call right.
They can keep the umps but implement a challenge system like every other sport has.
Exactly they need a challenge system. Been saying that for a while now. People miss calls in tennis but at least they can contest it.
