I don't know about the stats, but I think I've said to myself "Lawrie could have got that" about 10 times so far this season. And, an additional 10 times I've probably said "A decent 2nd baseman could have got that".

No idea how many runs it has costed us, but considering how many runs we've given up with 2 outs, there's probably been a ton of times where we would have been out of the inning, but instead we still on the field giving up runs.

The defense has cost us at least one game so far. Not sure who you can blame in the 2nd game where Santos gave up the homerun to Reynolds, but you can call it bullpen if you want. The rest is pretty much on the starting pitching. While the offense has been putrid, they've routinely had to score at least 8 or more runs to even win a game, which is unreasonable.

Pretty much the only bright spots so far are Reyes and bullpen guys like Loup, Cecil, Oliver, and Janssen. Happ had a good start, but I wouldn't count on that from him every 5th day.

Agreed, it's still week 2 of a 30 week (approximately) season... let's just not have many more weeks like the last one.

Over usage of the bullpen would worry me, except I'm hoping that late in the season we have Huttchinson, Drabek and maybe even Mcgowan who can come in as long relief.

To start the season you had great insight into situations.... Now you are turning into the Raptors JROC a JROC I am not fond of. :(

But it's true, all the arguments that say everything will be fine are basically saying we should tune in after things turn around. Wait until everything averages out. Wait until no one is injured. Wait until the weather is warm. Wait until....

It's just like what we read on the Raps board after 5 games, after 10 games, after 15 games. Wait, wait wait.... The only difference is that these are better players. And that's fine, but if it means we shouldn't judge them now, then essentially we shouldn't "care" about what we see until later on.

"Everyone should only tune in and care once the team finally turns things around." said noone.

Yeah, losing a few games is not panac-worthy. Reyes turning his ankle into dog food, definitely panac-worthy.
