Delfino is doing fine as backing up Harden/Parsons
we need backup C
Isaiah Austin is 7'
but we know Morey
he doesn't draft need
he always draft the best one available or best potential and use is as trade bait

In game 1 of the DLeague playoffs Rice had 27 points, 8 rebounds and 3 assists. I don't think he'll go undrafted.

Delfino might not be back at 3 million depending on how much cap space Morey wants to clear out.

Agree we need a back up Center. I like Austin but think he'll go 1st round.
Would love Jeff WIthey or Gorgui Dieng to fall to 33.

How about signing Samuel Dalembert back as a UFA? He's having issues in Milwaukee.

Withey might not go to the second round though... We can trade up to get him. He is certainly better than Cole Aldrich.

I agree with the assessment of needing a backup 5. I also want a good defensive stopper propspect that can guard the 2 and 3... Delfino and Garcia are both defensively average, and Delfino has the added disadvantage of having brittle handles. Since they both play similar games, one of them is leaving.

I like Travis Releford of Kansas. Before folks look at his stats and call them unremarkable, look at his advanced stats and his measurements. He's 6.5 without shoes, a wing span of 6 foot 10 with a standing reach of 8 foot 3. He has quick feet, great hands and runs the floor. His advance stats don't look horrible either. He has a true shot of 68% in college, with an efg of 65%. Those are signs of a player who knows who he is, and doesn't try to play outside of his limits. I think we should give him a summer league spot and see what happens. He was balling in tourney play and in the NCAA until Elijah Johnson choked it all away. I think we can test him out in the summer league.

Both Delfino and Garcia have team options on the final year of their contracts so neither one is guaranteed.

i rather have depth than overpaying for someone not worth the money
like Dwight Howard, Josh Smith, Andrew Bynum
when healthy Howard and Bynum are good
but Bynum is stupid and Howard need to think more as a team and not just himself
if this team really want to go to the next step (2nd round playoff)
Delfino needs to return
you can't keep breaking up the team because you get can a slightly better/younger player
team chemistry is important as well
you don't see Spurs break up Duncan+Parker+Ginobili
they try to but they didn't

I can't remember the last time Morey drafted an underclassmen. There won't be many where the Rockets are choosing but I see Morey going after

Isaiah Canaan
Probably highest talents in the 2nd round, doesn't matter that they are PG Morey goes for talent over fit, cheaper than Brooks.

Glen Rice Jr. especially since he had a year of RGV ball and he will be a perfect replacement for Delfino/Cisco. Each time I saw a RGV also thought he was just a shooter, a really really good shooter. Then he would drive and dunk on someone or post someone up.

Whitey/Dieng
Will they fall?

I still would like Tony Snell, but I could see Morey valuing Rice > Snell.

I don't want rice jr. But apparently I'm the only person that doesn't want him. I would take tim hardaway jr over him (maybe its cuz I like his dad more than rices)

I feel like there is better talent available there, and we can buy a late 2nd for rice or curry or hardaway for that matter

I don't know. We are stacked enough in our division at 5. Why we are reopening a hole at the 3, getting rid of two prospects at the 4 for a prospect who just blew out his knee ?

He can't even contribute right away. Noel is offensively raw and a string bean to boot. The kids upside ranges from Deke to Thabeet. I am not sure the risk is going to pay off.
