I'm with you on this one set shot, and I do hope you're right.

And as I've mentioned earlier, KG moved well for a supposed injured player. He didn't play great, but that's to be expected for missing a lot of games.

Our success would be riding on their health

Nothing wrong with Paul or KG.

Two weeks ago, it was Paul's ankle. Oh my God, Paul's ankle is about to fall off !! Why else would he sit out a game.

The very next day, it's announced that Paul's wife gave birth. Think that may have had something to do with Paul's absence?? Hell no! Paul's got a bad ankle.

KG.

Doc's talked all season about finding him rest and how hard it is to get him to take time off. So before playoff time, he finally sits him down for almost two weeks.

When asked, Danny and Doc can't even get their stories straight about :
A) What he hurt
B) When he got hurt

He went through practice Mon and Tues., played Wednesday night and is sitting out with Paul tonight with the 7th seed basically wrapped up.

But still we have to hear about : OMG!!! His leg is dangling by a thread or his foot's going to fall off.

Gullible..Naive...etc.

You want to know what all this rest is? It's not injury rest....

It's "This is my last ride" rest. That's right. KG's last playoff ride and they're giving him the opportunity to go full tilt, coming off plenty of rest.

So get your popcorn ready ..........

You also guaranteed KG would play against the heat in March then KG proceeded to miss the next two weeks of games. KG and PP are on the wrong side of thirty and have played a million games. They could very well be injured.

So? They gave him more rest and I was wrong on the comeback game.

And you're right, they are on the wrong side of 30,hence the rest and why this is KG's last playoff appearance.

They're just making sure he can go out on his terms....which is full throttle in the playoffs.

You're probably right. But I hope it doesn't surprise you when I say a 48-34 team once won a championship, and that you can indeed guess which team I'm referring to.

(Bill Russell's last season, of course.)

There also were 47- and 49-win champions in back to back years. (Blazers and Sonics.)

You forgot the 47 win Rockets dude!!! I think the Celtics are a lot better than your average .500 team. However, this is predicated on Garnett upping his minutes from high 20s to high 30s in the playoffs. If he is hurt or can't deliver effective minutes we are your average .500 or worse. .500 teams don't win championships.

Problem is, that 47-win Rockets team had Hakeem playing at League MVP level all year long (28/10) and even upping it in the playoffs. We have no one like that. The 70's Bullets were pretty crappy but it was a super weak era in the league. Yup .500 teams don't win championships. We're not even close.

At that point in the season getting the 5th or 6th seed obtainable. I am not buying that celtics were fine with letting KG sit for two weeks. I think he is truely hurting right now.

Worried?? About what??? That a guy who just moved into what, 6th place all-time on the minutes list has got nagging injuries after 70 odd games? Worried about a mash unit team that should've probably gone in another direction 2 or 3 years ago? Let's not get carried away. Have a look up and down this roster and tell me where this word "worry" is creeping into anyone's vocabulary. It is what it is.

Just sit back, shut up, pop a cork, light one up, smack your girl in the ass and enjoy the ride.

Sad to say, but we are now at the point where every time KG takes the court might be his last. Would really be kinda shocked if he doesn't retire this offseason.

Yeah, they want to rest him. Yes, he will do his best in the playoffs. But you can see it in his eyes when he talks about it. He has bone spurs and is playing in a lot of pain. That doesn't bode well for making the 2nd round or beyond.

So that's why Doc was telling anyone that would listen in the media that he didn't care what seed they had as long as the team is in the playoffs and healthy??

Wow...weird.

The delusion is hilarious. Our hopes of a championship went up in flames when Rondo got hurt.

Ok set shot. Kevin Garnett is perfectly healthy. You know how I can tell you don't watch the team's games? It's because if you watched the Wizards or Nets games, you would know that he isn't right.

Wow...weird.

Cedric Maxwell said himself KG has had a boot on since the Dallas game. He's on the freaking bus with the team. Why would KG walk around in a boot if he isn't injured?

Doc even said KG has bone spurs.....

Horse hockey.

I saw a guy who could move just fine but has two weeks of rust on his game.

If you're hurt that bad...you aren't even participating in practice and your not making alley oop attempts nor jumping up for rebounds.

And Doc Rivers also told us that Paul was sitting out with a bad ankle when it turns out his wife was in the hospital and getting ready to give birth.

Setshot, you really think KG is healthy right now? My god.. I wish I had the ability to ignore all evidence and stay positive, too.

I think KG is as healthy as a 37 yr old at the end of his last season can be. Same for Paul.

Both will play increased minutes in the playoffs and we all know what they'll give us.

The rest of the roster? Who in the hell knows what they'll contribute?

That's what makes the postseason seem dismal to me...everyone outside of PP/KG is a complete toss up.

I find it comical that you believe what Doc is saying about the seeding yet with the KG injury you don't believe him.

Yeah and back in 2009 KG injured himself, missed some games, came back for 2 or 3 games, looked great then a day before the bulls series we find out he is done for the year.

Believe what you want. Unfortunately it is impossible to aurgue with someone who believes in conspiracy theories no matter how idiotic it is.

I don't believe that Doc,Danny, KG or PP care what seed they are, just as long as they're in.

In the past, they've all said this in one way or another. You just choose to ignore it, so be it.

When KG and PP are playing 35+ minutes in the postseason, you'll realize just how naive you are.

Savor these playoffs. It's the last time you'll see KG in green on Red Auerbach's court.

EDIT:

Pierce and Garnett both sat out Friday night’s game due to sore left ankles. Doc Rivers said he expects both to play tonight to help the C’s get back on track before their final home game of the season on Tuesday.

Critically hurt I tell ya.
