To be fair he almost didn't have a choice, they probably wouldn't even be in playoff contention if Kobe didn't play huge minutes.

This is as close to a fix as you can get.

I've only watched the last 5 minutes of the 4th but I haven't seen any dodgy calls.

The Blake foul was dodgy--go look at the ft numbers. Mark Jackson also completely outsmarted himself and the ball ended up not in Curry's hands..what a joke.

Impossible for me to judge a game on FT's if I haven't watched it. But in saying that looks like Dwight was intentionally sent to the line a bunch which skews it, and it looks like GS was doing a ton of jump shooting.

David Stern wants the Lakers in the playoffs and will do whatever he can to get his wish.

Yes you didn't watch. Kobe fell down on his own 4 times bc he was hurt and they called fouls. It was absurd.

Dantoni is seriously an idiot. Kobe hurt his knee, his ankle and then finally:

Ken Berger ‏@KBergCBS 1m
Kobe Bryant has a probable torn Achilles, the Lakers say. MRI tomorrow to confirm.

Playing 45+ every night, and leaving him in after he hurt his ankle and knee...

while chasing around the opposing team's best player AND being the only source of offense. they would've been better off just making kobe the coach

Dammm Kobe... I have a ton of respect for him as a player...I was looking forward to watching him in the play-offs... And this one can't be blamed on Dantoni... No coach could take him out this game at this time in the season...

I'm watching Kobe being interviewed now... He's confirming it's a tear...

history of torn achilles injuries:

1) It took Chauncey Billups 9-10 months to come back from the injury.

2) It took Patrick Ewing 6 months to come back from his partially torn achilles.

3) Isiah never return after rupturing his Achilles.

4) Dominique missed about 8-9 months after injuring his Achilles in the early 90s. Came back and was effective the next season.

5) Elton Brand almost missed the entire 2007-2008 season because of the torn achilles. Wasn't really the same afterwards.

Best of luck to the Mamba
