OK. Enjoy that thought for the little while left that you can. Knicks are the better team and they will have no problem with the Celtics.

exactly. If we can't beat these washed up has-beens, blow up the team and trade everyone. I will be sick to my stomach and take a hiatus from basketball for a long while.

what's funny is that Knicks fans have been saying this for the past 4 years.
Same result every time.

Maybe next year Boston will be truly washed up.

What's funny is how delusional Knicks fans are about their title chances.
Go on a 13 game hot streak and you're now not worried about anyone but the Heat- who will utterly destroy the Knicks questionable defense.
When your 3 point shooting comes back to reality and you realize that the injury struggles with Chandler and Amare and whoever else you have over age 35 don't suddenly go away once the playoffs start.

The Knicks biggest problem is that they don't know how to adjust to physical play. The Bulls, Celtics, Indiana, Miami- all tough teams and grimier/grittier than anyone in the West. Good luck getting through all 3 with their perimeter defense and the games elite defenders playing their best every night on Melo and JR Smith and closing out like it's the playoffs- not the last 20 regular season games.

If Amare and Chandler were 75% healthy you might by a miracle make it to the ECF if the Bulls somehow had a brain fart and the Celtics famous playoff defense disappeared.

The Knicks are paper tigers. Poor man's version of the Heat with worse defense, only one star + a good 6th man on a hot shooting streak that has now given the usually in denial Knicks fan base a bigger dose of dillusion than when they signed Amare. Even more than when they then signed Melo.

Continuing toward mediocrity until you dump Amare's contract and get Melo some real help. I feel sorry for the fat boy. He's scoring 40 points a game off 50 shots and still doesn't play defense.
Welcome to the playoffs Knicks fans, you're about to get a nice hard dose of reality. It's called playoff defense.
One day Marcus Smart will be defensive player of the year, mark my words.

I have respect for them and think it is possible, but not likely, that they beat us. I want to go through them, we almost have to in a sense, to get respect on our way through Miami ;-)

Playoff defense from who? KG who can barely walk? Pierce? LOL. Bradley who regularly gets schooled by JR and can't even stay on the court? Bass? LOL? Lee? LOL. Crawford? LOL. LOL. LOL.

Wouldn't trade Melo for the entire Celtic team+ coach---that's including Rajon Rondo.

Not at all worried about Boston. And this is not bravado. They are a very mediocre team this year. Everyone is giving them respect because of what they did last post season. But this is a very different roster.

Outside of Milwaukee this is the easiest matchup for us. Atlanta, Brooklyn, and Chicago would all be more difficult to beat.

I think the Knicks-Celtics series will go to 6 or 7 games.

Watch this & tell me you want to face the Celtics in the playoffs. Garnett is a master of getting inside of peoples' heads, he can be really unpredictable with his personality. I'm sure Garnett & Terry are going to be attacking Melo mentally throughout this series. You know how much stuff Garnett gets away with so this is gonna be a very interesting series. TBH I'm kind of terrified of the thought of dropping a series against the Celtics, I don't even know where my state of mind would be at if we did.
My lifetime better have a Knicks championship.

If both teams play to their potential Knicks should win in 4.

I can see us dropping a game, maybe even 2. But if Melo plays anywhere near 30 and 7 relatively efficiently, Chandler and K Mart come back, then we'll be fine.

Not saying it will be easy but for some reason I am not worried about the Celtics this year.. ESPECIALLY since they don't have their TRUE leader: RONDO! who went postal in last years play-offs...

ON edit: assuming we have at least Tyson or Kmart...

I think the Celtics are clearly past their prime.

They're going to blow it up this offseason.
