Deron Williams and Joe Johnson said they're still going for the third-seed, won't rest until it's out of reach.

Rod Boone ‏@rodboone 1h
Asked Deron if he wants to shut it down til playoffs after getting banged up. He said no. Wants to still play. Thinks it's good 4 chemistry

From the sound of it he just got a bad stinger today which is understandable since the refs were basically letting the Pacers murder us. But the Kobe thing has me worried about blowing out one of our key players on the off chance we can steal the 3rd seed.

Debbie downer: we really blew another 20+ point lead? PJ was once again at his worst when it comes to Timeouts..... this guys just stands there and probably farts while the opposition gets momentum after momentum.... I think there was a 24-9 run by Indy at some point(close to that) in the 3rd.

Now if only the Nets could've seal the deal vs Philly(prior to the circus trip) and the Bulls(last wk), then the 3rd seed would've been in reach!!!!!!

So, your telling me the Bucks won't beat Miami in the first round?...But I thought Monta have it all? :-?

Mike D'Antoni ran Kobe into the ground.

I actually feel bad for Kobe.

MDA has had him play 41+ minutes in each of the prior 6 games and he was played 45 minutes when the injury happened.

The first two times he fell down clutching his knee earlier in the game should have been a sign to get him some rest.

But no, MDA keeps him going and now Kobe (most likely) tore his ACL.

be careful what you wish for. Smith and Horford have gone HAM the last week and are in playoff form. If josh smith doesnt play idiot ball and chuck from the perimeter, it is goign to be really tough to beat them because they really nutralize lopez.

the bulls are a better team, better coached, and have beat us 3 of 4... but all of our big 3 have had success against them at some point, and they are more banged up.

honestly i dont like either matchup and would much rather play indiana or the knicks, but of the 2 i think id pick the bulls, assuming rose stays out

How fitting would it be if the Knix tank their game versus the Pacers though and that's the game that screws us out of the 3 seed?

Also, you know what? Nah, forget it haha, I don't want to be negative right now, so I'll wait til the seeding is completely determined before I make the comment I was about to.

the game that will keep us out of the third seed in the minnesota game. fck that game

Well maybe we'll get the 3rd seed and get to play the Bulls AND the Knicks :D

And to the people that are miffed about us losing that big lead I am too but this was basically a Playoff game and we had to face down some seriously rough officiating. We did that and we surged ahead convincing for the win so I don't like that we screwed up but really like that we recovered from it.

im also not really concerned with the lead we blew last night. It was like most leads we had blown in the past. We has some poro turnovers but overall still executed ok on offense and took good shots, it was mostly good defense/good offensive execution/rough officiating. but we kept playign solid and eventually that led to us getting the lead back. if we play like that in the playoffs we have a shot to advance

Or two losses to the Bulls. The home loss to the Grizzlies. Or the loss to the Sixers. There are many games that you could look back on and say it hurt us.

Most glaring hindsight game: Losing to the Knicks at home off a missed call

That game could have actually helped us win the Atlantic with a 3-1 season series win instead of 2-2.

the bulls out played us both games and are arguably a better team. the grizzlies are certainly a better team. I'll give you the 76ers game, but we never were up 25 on them.

blowing a 25 point lead at home to a love-less, rubio-less wolves team is far and away our worst loss

We choked in two of those Bulls losses. They played us well in the end, but we still made bad mistakes and shouldn't have lost those games. The Grizzles game, there was some very questionable officiating and we lost a very close game.

its one thing to choke down the stretch of a close game vs a superior opponent

its another to blow a late 26 point lead to a vastly inferior opponent missing its 2 best players

That means nothing in the playoffs. Heat and Knicks choked as well. Its a 20/20 situation.
