Can't think of anyone right now, especially since you can't factor GB fighters into the equation.

I would love to see him vs Mares... who is a dirty mofo and does everything to win. I mean the guy is Hopkins level dirty but he lets his hands go and has fought everyone who is at the top of his respective division. He wouldn't go and fight the type of fight that Donaire just fought. He would throw everything at him. Rabbit punchs, low blows, forearms, punches to the legs and back, etc.

But with a non corrupt and paid-off ref Mares would actually have points deducted for his bs instead of getting kds and opponent point deductions(Agbeko/Moreno).

Mares beat Agbeko fair and square in the rematch, and Moreno wasn't even a controversy.

Mares hit Moreno in the nuts hard at least 4 times and Moreno was the one that got a bs point deduction

Rigo's skills are on another level. Donaire probably beats anyone in his weight class with the exception of Rigo. That include Mares.

And Mares would not survive a full 12 rounds against Rigo. His come forward aggressive nature would be his down fall. Rigo would counter him all night and eventually get the KO or TKO.

Nonito took some killer shots in this fight that would've taken a lesser man out. The last one that breaks Donaire's face is a just a beautiful punch, slips a punch beautifully and a picture perfect left.

Golovkin vs Macklin, fantastic!

Sturm (in Germany), Martinez, Golovkin...Macklin is the man. These are some of the most underappreciated guys in boxing and MM is taking them on one-by-one.

Donaire hasn't performed well in years. There've been a lot of fights against much smaller opponents, moving up, where he couldn't much going aside from establishing his size advantage. Kings of those divisions by default and in perpetually moving up.
That last gif above is amazing. Woah! What a counter.

Thsoe gifs are all awesome, in fact, as much as anything because they display Donaire's chin and determination.

Macklin was tailor made for GGG, he's gonna get ko'd in the mid rounds. Only 1 round since the Martinez fight and he's a slugger who's gonna want to trade against maybe the biggest power puncher in the sport. It's gonna be a good fight for as long as it lasts and he'll definitely test that chin, Macklin got the p4p biggest balls in the game

Almost here fellas, post your picks for Trout/Canelo. I got Trout winning this and I'll post some good reasons when I got some time later

It's Canelo's first real test and a real step up in competition. I think Trout wins this as well.

Warriors game is in the afternoon, so I'll be able to see this one live on TV. Over 35k expected in the Alamodome, should be a great atmosphere.

Trout vs Canelo is such an awesome fight. Canelo will have to have improved, I think, but that's also perfectly possible. He's an insane talent. Trout is really slick, though.

Agree, it's the fight that I'm most looking forward to in the first half of the boxing year. Usually that's reserved for the big PPV fight but not in this case. We'll get to see if Canelo really is the talent people have been touting since he was a teenager or if Trout is as good as that Cotto fight showed. Can't wait.

I like that Canelo has the balls to fight his management/promotional team and demand a fight with Trout. Don't think it will work out for him though. Don't think he's ready for this kind of test yet. But that's his promoter's fault.
