Nah, Kobe tearing his achilles means Lakers and Laker fans must start kissing DH12's ass hard more than they have ever had to.

Lakers playing extremely aggressively. Spurs looks off kilter and lost. score tied at 34.

Figured so. Every team he's coached tuned him out around his third season anyways

Spurs hacking away at Howard. I guess they'll save the rest of their fouls for the end of the fourth quarter if the game is close.

Spurs always do this. They get off to a fast start then they tire out...and I don't see them making the finals despite their ranking.

Meanwhile Houston snags #6 seed. Should be exciting if it holds and we get Denver vs Houston.

Anybody else see Cuban making a run for a Combo of CP3/D12 or Josh Smith/Brandon Jennings?

What a horrible consolation prize combo lol. Smith/Dirk...that'd be an interesting combo but I'd keep BJ out and look for a more assist inclined playmaker at the PG.

I'd be almost shocked if Paul left the Clippers at this point. I know they have been meh for a while now but it's a team full of veterans and I still think there is a chance they make the WCF and possibly upset OKC or San Antonio. Paul wanted to build something there and he has done so...taken the keys to the city over there.

Nowitzki/Dwight would be completely deadly but I somehow believe Dwight will stick with the Lakers. He wanted to play in a big market so I don't think he'll leave that big market that he's in right now for a smaller market.

As for Smith/Jennings....looks like both are gonna get overpaid. Even with Smith AND Jennings I don't see the Mavs contending for a title and Jennings doesn't strike me as a Carlisle type of guy.

Marion
Smith
Nowitzki

is a nice frontline but the Mavs would need another prime all-star player to get back to title contender status.

Marion at 9mill. next year and Dirk at 22mill. next year just make too much money at this point. They can't be eating up half their cap. I don't even know if it is allowed under the new CBA but if I was Cuban I'd sit down with them and ask them to re-structure their deals...offer Dirk 3year/36mill. and Marion 3year 18mill.---that way the Mavs would free up and additional 14mill. in capspace but I don't think it is allowed...

It's a long shot for Dwight and CP3 imo...

Dirk is getting old, both Dwight and CP3 know this. But a bigger reason may be that they both have settled down in LA. A very underrated reason player sticks to their team, instead of moving to another team to pair with another star, is they (and their family) have settled down and it's hard for them to move again.

I definitely see Cuban making a run at Dwight and CP3 but it's a long shot imo.

Smith is another long shot because he wants max or close to max, and he plays same position as Dirk, unless they think one of them is gonna play C or SF, which is like wtf lol. Cuban is loyal to Dirk, his first franchise player and champion, he ain't gon move him for Smith, not even if Smith was a franchise superstar, which he is not.

Jennings is a great shot, he wants out and he'd be the biggest snatch, teams rarely don't make a move when they have cap, so they have to do it.

his theory was flawed from the outset and they don't have the cap space for both, and will have to renounce mayo, to have the space for 1.

Donnie Walsh might hang it up at age 72. Guy did wonders with the Pacers but I'm sorry his tenure with the Knicks was meh.

At least the later games in the west tonight are relevant. Houston and GS still going for 6th.
