You don't spend money to tank.

So that plan is even dumber than what Kohl & Hammond have been doing.

There's a minimum salary floor. So his plan is to fill out the roster with cheap terrible vets and lose a lot. It's a great plan.

But again, this thread is for the 8th seed that Kohl & Co will inevitably chase and what high priced free agents we would choose to chase.

The sad part is that Kohl and Hammond might actually like what Aussie Buck proposed.

Kaman and Nick Young? They have Bucks written all over them after Josh Smith, Teague, Milsap, Buddinger, etc all reject our offers.

I agree with the analysis of Jennings, but for two reasons he wont be back IMO. #1 I think Kohl feels he still is somewhat the face/future of this team. Kohl is an old-school guy that just looking at PPG and APG- and thinks he's what they need. #2 The "asset" angle- I see Monta going elsewhere and there is really nothing they can do. At least they have the ability to match any offer. Possible sign and trade?

This is exactly the point. Harris could be a decent player but on a dysfunctional losing team I think he'll mope through it like he did at the Nets. Kaman is slower Gooden at this point but still a Hammonds name and i think he's chased him before. Nick Young is a Hammonds guy, Nate is a player of the week who has "carried the Bulls." It would be a terrible team. I've written enough win now posts, thought I'd go somewhere different.

On a serious note, would you rather have luc(playing the 3) or young?

offer Jennings QO and hope he takes it.

Keep Monta and Reddick. I'd give Monta no more than 10 per and Reddick something similar to what Ilyasova got

start Henson and make Sova our sixth man and #1 big ooff of the bench

if Jennings takes QO package him with Gooden and get him the **** out of here.

Either draft or trade for a quality SF who can defend and hit the 3 and knows his role (Jared Dudley comes to mind).

sign a scoring guard off of the bench, someone like Jerryd Bayless or Jordan Crawford, someone we can put out there to chuck and catch fire while the starters rest. I guess with this strategy i'm banking on the development of Henson/Sanders which raises the ceiling of this team. I'd keep Dunleavy for spot minutes and open 3s but I'd target someone like Kyle Korver. The more 3 point shooters this team has the better

Yuck. Monta is 30 or older for half his deal, Redick is 30 or older for 75% of his deal and there is absolutely zero upside with that backcourt. Jennings hinders us from winning games, so really, if we're trying to win, the price on him isn't that important. He needs to go.

There is no big upside potential with this backcourt trio though, so it really doesn't make sense to lock in 4-5 year deals on these guys.

is anyone against calling premature ejaculations "Brandon Jennings"? Cause you blow your load early, get it?

I'd give Jarrett Jack the starting PG job, keep Reddick if it was to a reasonable deal or just two Delfino types to man backup SF/starting SG, sign Iggy or AK to man SF.

Backup plan would be to use the SF money for Mayo or to just sign Allen to start, but then maybe a Dorell Wright so that Allen only has to play 28-ish minutes.

I think that team with a Sanders/Ersan/Henson can contend for homecourt. I think Ellis opts out and Jennings takes the qualifying offer.

Question: If Jennings takes the qualifying offer and the Bucks trade him, does the team that trades for him (lets say Dallas) get any discernible advantage such as Bird Rights or something that would make them give up an asset like a middle of the round 1st.

If he takes the QO he is UFA at the end of the season. About the 2nd part, I thought if Jennings takes the QO he can't be traded without his permission.

Yea I read that somewhere on here. He must give permission or has the final say in it. So it's highly unlikely.

If the Bucks were to go anywhere near Nick Young tanking or not I could never be a fan of this franchise again. I hate him more than just about anybody in the NBA

1. Trade Ersan/15 for Ariza/8

2. Draft BPA

3. Sign Teague (long term), Jarret Jack (medium term), Al-Farouq Aminu (short term), Corey Brewer (short term)

Teague / Jack
Brewer
Ariza / Aminu
Henson / LRMAM
Sanders / Udoh

Run. Run. Run. Run a fast break system like Denver. Gamble for steals and blocks. Rebound well. Run some more.

At least it'd be something different to watch, and Ariza's deal would then expire.

Not to beat the dead horse about the availability of starting 2's in this league, or my absolute fear of Mayo and Evans, but here goes in case you missed it. No thanks to worse head-cases than what we already have!

http://basketball.realgm.com/wiretap/22 ... to-OJ-Mayo

I do have one new idea: What about a sign/trade of Monta to PHX for Gortat and a pick? Then Sanders to OKC for Lamb and their first. We almost undoubtedly would need a 3rd team to sweeten that for OKC, but we have Moute that may still be worth enough. We could also take back Perkins as a last resort, but I would try to avoid that, obviously. Sanders could put that team completely over the top, and we end up with 2 young high ceiling players to go with Ersan and Henson and Gortat is serviceable for a year.
We all need hope, but hope is not a plan.

I like this. Add in a couple of outside shooters on the cheap and hope like he the ping pong basks go out easy in 2014.

Sign Calderon, Korver, and Kevin Martin. Would be terrible defensively but that would be a pretty fun offensive team to watch.

Calderon/ ? (draft pick/Patty Mills/Ish lol)
Martin/Tony Allen
Korver/LRMAM
Ersan/Henson
Sanders/Udoh

Huh, don't know if we have the cap space for that...
