He missed badly on a 3, I think that pretty much ended his confidence in shooting. But he could develop into a nice combo forward if he can work on his shot.

His awareness in defense is very impressive. Always in the passing lanes and on the weakside to help.

It's a good move. It's exactly what should've been done last season with Green because it ties the player up next season in case they blossom and look the part so they don't walk away on us.

It means at worst Joseph will be training camp fodder next season or maybe a throw in, into a trade to add a young body to a deal. It's a great deal because he was the best option out of the D league available players in a possible position of need for us.

Just think, if King had thought like this last season Green would be playing for us for vet min this season. Smart no risk move really we're we hold all the options.
We couldn't have done it with Gerald Green because he played himself out of that kind of a deal, and his agent was looking for a 3 million a year type deal in free agency (which they ended up getting). The other difference is that Gerald Green was very good for us. The question I'm asking is that what has Kris Joseph shown so far because I haven't seen anything. I don't even know what he's supposed to be.

Same problem with Deron honestly. ZERO confidence and he's probably injured still from the ribs which he was supposed to sit out 4 weeks and came back in 2 weeks, never was the same again.

He'll need the off-season to regain himself. He's pretty much going to be a non-factor until he has a good game to get hs confidence up which is not happening at this point.

All I care about is him bringing it defensively at this point. His synergy rankings defensively show he still is fairly solid. He's ranked behind LeBron I think in a certain part of PPP defense in SFs.

Ahhh-mazing win by the bench considering how the game started...

Glad to see Toko going up against NBA players whether they're Wizards or not.... you can see the raw talent is there.... its absolutely about repetition and seasoning and his game will be solid as expected...

Hope to see more of Kris Joseph offensively, he's actually has some size to him....was hoping he was a better shooter but guess not.

All our rooks really just need seasoning/repetition... get involved and these guys will focus and draw positive results.

Billy King disagrees with you...... word.

on a serious note, Crash still can't even get his game going even against the Wiz with none of the other Core 4 parts around to take the shots away from him... the guy has lost it...

No your missing the point. Joseph was signed to a 2 year deal with a team option in the 2nd year before he had barely even played any minutes for Brooklyn.

King could've done this last season with Green before he saw meaningful game time to suddenly be a hot property which meant we couldn't afford him. That's the point I'm making, King is basically covering himself because if Joseph went off for 25 tonight and played great ball, teams would offer him a decent deal to go sign for them which we couldn't match. We called Green up after the all star game last season, if he signed a 2 year deal then he'd obviously still be a Net, suddenly he produced some quality performances versus Dallas etc during his 10 day contracts and then boom, we couldn't afford him.

Now we're covered so that in the unlikely event Joseph does amount to something, we have him under contract.

Fair enough but my question was regarding Kris Joseph's actual quality, not his potential. He hasn't shown anything is what I'm saying, I'm not sure if he really was the best player available from the D-league.

Love this kid. He should be our backup next season with CJ sliding to the SG position (if he opts in), trade the ISO bot, Marshon.

Didn't see the beginning of the game, did Gerald Wallace at least get plays called for him? I would've posted him on the low block, isolated him in the high post + made him play point forward until he remembered that he could score and create for others. It's how he played last year. This game is pretty inexcusable on his part.

There was no plays ran whatsoever in this game. It was honestly hilarious.

When you look at Gerald's season splits, I really think it's that bruised ribs injury that has really killed him physicially and now he's lost his confidence.

He was averaging 42 FG%, 37 3PT% in November. 42 FG%, 33 3PT% in December averaging 11 points, 7 rebounds, 3 assists.

After the injury in January, his number begin to go downhill.

The low 40 percent fg% mark is still awful, especially for a guy who has averaged in the high 40s for most of his career. Crash needs to get it together over the summer and seriously work on his game.

I'm not going to get on him for low 40s because that is simply not his game. His FG% should go up with the attention but Deron, Joe, Brook draw but he isn't a great offensive player.

I'd kill for him to put up 42 and 37 right now. He's shooting 0% from 3 this month.

TOKO MOTIVE!!!! Just finished watching this pick up game disguised as an nba game. Every net player was out to get there own in the first half and it showed. Tokomotive's hustle and effort was great to watch. Obviously a much better half. I took notice that no player dominated the assists. I guess thats just todays player. but I would of loved to have seen Taylor, wWatson or maybe even Brooks(calm down I know i'm dreaming) notch up 7,8 maybe 9 dimes to prove they can run the point as a back up. But lets be honest this game was played like a McDonalds High School where are they now?

I don't think it was that bad. Don't get me wrong there definitely wasn't any plays being run from the looks of it and the first quarter was as bad as you said but it definitely got better in the 2nd quarter and we really pulled it together in the 4th.

There is really no excuse for us not to develop these guys when Chicago is developing Jimmy Butler, Malcom Thomas and NY is developing Copeland, Shumpert, Prgioni, etc.

We have a nice collection of talent. Use it.

 Prigioni is not being developed.
