Cap'n Jack replacement. Think he'll get any burn in the playoffs?

Given how the team has played like total doodoo over the past six weeks, taking on the Second Round Virgin won't be THAT bad.

i think t-mac would be great to get some burn...glad he is back in NBA. i think he can be solid 10-15 minutes off the bench for 6-10 points 3 rebounds, 3 assists. energy guy who is able to make the right plays. he is a veteran that can easily replace capn. jack. maybe he wont be strong enough to get easy layups but he didn't rely on his athleticism as much as his bball iq and shot

This is totally gonna be the best first-round exit team in the league.

Granted the competition is worse, but for the Chinese team he played on this year, he played 29 games and averaged:
33 mpg, 25 ppg, 7.2 rpg, 5.1 apg.

Here's hoping he can be a suitable replacement for Captain Jack for you guys and that you're the team to pop his second round cherry. I recall him playing decently off the bench for ATL not too long ago.

Well this kinda came outta left field but if the front office thinks he can contribute then why not.

They had him work out with them last offseason.

Don't like how 1 of my favorite players is joining one of the least teams I like.... got no choice but to root for spurs now..... anyways tmac is a 7 time all-star/ future hof'er and should start and play 30+ min... him and Duncan on the pick n roll would be deadly...

I don't think he'll get much burn in the playoffs, but with the way our team is breaking down, who knows...

I loved TMac back in the day too but IMO saying he will be a future hof'er is too much. Never got into 2nd round, the best he has done is winning a couple scoring titles but he's far from being considered a HOF guy given that he has only had 5-6 seasons of prime and not much success.

People forget that T-Mac did actually get past the first round. He wasn't playing, but technically, he did get past the first round because he was on the roster.

Also, the main problem with T-Mac over the past two seasons was his confidence level. He just didn't believe he could still be explosive, and this made him a very passive player. Hopefully his time in China has taught him otherwise. T-Mac was pulling out all types of crazy dunks in China, and was shooting the long ball with ease.

I understand China's level of competition is no where near as difficult as the NBA's, but the fact that T-Mac now knows he can still be an explosive scorer and still penetrate can help T-Mac become a very sufficient role player.

I hope he can give you guys a few filler minutes while resting your starters. I would not count on him to be Superman to the rescue.

No one forgot, his team got into the 2nd round without him. He as a player has never passed the 1st round. He's a career loser.

I have low expectations for him, and it shows how desperate we are if we're turning to him to help us.

To ensure victory, TMac will not play in the first round

But in all seriousness, Pop said that it's going to take a couple of weeks.
