Mayo is just not very good, though It would be fun to watch AK and Pek beat the crap out of him over a card game :)

His coach has a very, very good point;
"I just want to see him show up," the coach said. "I just want to see him show up and compete. He didn't compete tonight. "And I tell you, with all the time we've put into helping him develop and bringing him along, in the biggest game of the year -- an opportunity to be a winning team -- for him to show up like he did tonight, I was shocked."

the video is worse than the transcript;

I'd rather see if we can pry Wesley Matthews away from the team he hates.

I'm still down for going after Eric Gordon. If we can't get one of the cheaper options that we like, Gordon could be great for us. I know he hasn't been great latley but that just means he could be an easier get. New team, new direction, he will have something to prove. Also he is just 24 years old so if things don't work out, we should be able to do something with him in 2 years.

I worry about his health, I need to see how bad his injury situation is, will he be dealing with this for the rest of his career or what? If that looks good though, I'd take a shot. We need a very good 2 who can get buckets.

Ellis will opt out of his contract.

Larry Saunders isnt the offensive player Pek is, but really covers the liability of a Love Pek defense. and A really interesting player.

Prolly have to give up some big value, but this deal could be done.

I think a backup defensive big is the least of our worries, we need a starting shooting guard, our team loses on the wing every game, we need shooting. A few blocks when Pek is on the bench is not the key to victory ;)

I doubt they move Larry Sanders for anything like what he is actually worth, if we wanted Ekpe Udoh or Dalembert they would listen.

Alright, you guys are definitely shedding some light on Mayo.

Alright let's talk about Affalo. What changed this year that brought his 3pt shooting down 10%? Everything else looks about the same other than the 4% dip in overall FG% which is mostly due to the dramatic change in 3pt%.

he looked absolutely GREAT playing for the nuggets, the prototypical elite space/3 and d shooting guard. he doesn't suit a go to scorer role like he has had in orlando as i think that's why his efficiency has fallen off a bit.

denver had much better playmakers. denver has a much better all around squad, so he's not really the focal point on offense. i was looking at some shot charts. afflalo is very good at corner 3s and was getting a lot of opportunities to shoot from there with denver. this year he really didn't stick with what worked in the past. he needs a change of scenery.

Yep, Afflalo looks fine when he isn't overused or trying to be the main man, he'd probably be fine as a #3 scorer. He would be much more useful than Mayo, actually plays defense, and cares... may be hard to pry away though, they don't need what we have.

So after going through the mock drafts, rosters, and free agent lists, these are my top 15 wings wishlist names:

JJ Redick
Kevin Martin
Gerald Henderson
Arron Afflalo
Ben McLemore
Victor Oladipo

Otto Porter
Eric Gordon
Shabazz Muhammad
Gary Harris
Tony Allen
Courtney Lee
Giannis Adetokunbo
Monta Ellis
Kyle Korver

I'd be very happy if we ended up with any of the top six and I'd be satisfied (yo varying degrees) with any of the rest.

4th quarter foye should be a candidate.

-good attitude
-we're not paying extra for potential
-among leagues best in 3 pointers made (8th) and 3 point % (16th)
-somewhat versatile

He's top 15 talent-wise, just not sure if he's the right fit for this team. I wouldn't be upset if we got him.

Hello Wolves fans. I come in peace. I was putting a trade together and would like to know if you all would be opposed to a roster composed of these players?

Nikola
J Smith/D-Will/ T Robinson(2012 5th pick)
Ak-47
E Gordon/Shved
Rudy/ Berea

I also noticed many here would like to add affalo. Minnesota would still have their own pick along with the Grizzly's pick. Trade for Affalo with D-Will, Memphis pick, and a future HOU 1st (to help seal the deal).

Minnesota's 2013 9-man rotation:

Nikola
Smith/T Rob
Affalo/Ak-47 or Affalo for 6th man
Gordon/Shved
Rudy/Berea

Plus whoever they draft this year.

Thanks for reading.

Im not in favor of a roster where Love is turned into Josh Smith. Eric Gordon is gettable by other means.

I'm pretty sure Pek/Smith/AK/Afflalo/Gordon would put us in lux tax hell as well.

I think its much more than that. More like Love, D-will+ fillers for Smith, Gordon, Affalo, and T-Rob. But I thank you for your response.

I don't like having Rudy as our starting PG. He's too small, he'll never make it!
