This ones a bit betther than the first vid sideshow as it shows the first two threes that got it started in the last 40 seconds of the half. One of the more enjoyable games i watched. That 5 minutes of gametime or whatever he was in video game mode.

Sidenote - i miss those white cavs jerseys posted in the dunk gif. They were the best.

Edit - every single one of those threes were terrible terrible shots. In terms of low % that is. They were all so deep and such tough shots. Amazing to watch.

God if those 5 minutes aren't the most symbolic moments of Lebron's career with the Cavs. He had a license to do whatever the hell he wanted.

I actually admire that about him, in a way; he knows it's a good shot if he's in that zone, which he very obviously was. He rarely does it anymore (though that recent game against the Pelicans was somewhat reminiscent of it), and it's too bad, though probably for the better.

Agreed. It'd be cool to watch him have these kind of outburst still but what we dont see in the highlights is all the ill advised shots and failed heat checks he frequently took when in cleveland. Hes much smarter now. Even when chasing a lead latish he'd shoot a dumb 3(s) instead of taking a more high % approach. Often it'd come off, but when it didnt it looked bad. He was pretty silly shooting all the threes he did in his athletic prime but hes evolved and has a much better game now.

Even though the playoffs are coming up, it's kinda sad that this historic season is finally over. I'd say my five favorite games have to have been:

1. Miami @ Boston 3-18-13
This was just an awesome game in general. Lebron dunk on Terry, etc.

2. Miami vs Memphis 3-1-13
Sleeper pick here, but this was great because he overcame the frustration that plagued him in the 2011 Finals from a good zone defense.

3. Miami @ OKC 2-14-13
Owned Durant/Thunder on the big stage, pretty much stamped the MVP for this season.

4. Miami @ LAL 1-17-13
I hate the Lakers.

5. Miami vs Charlotte 3-24-13
Another strange pick and against the league's worst team, but Lebron from the end of the 3rd quarter to the middle of the 4th was just other worldly. The most efficient I've ever seen him.

Thanks for a great season, Lebron!

EDIT: Oh, and thanks for the stats, Bob! I know you got that spreadsheet that we all take for granted. Was great having that lens throughout the season.

To me this play was the cherry on top to cap off the season.

Miami just edged out 3 teams (2 of Nash's Suns and the 85 Lakers) for the eFG% record, with 55.2%.

They were at 56.1% in the last 48 games.

57.5% with Lebron on the floor in the last 48 games, and 61.0% TS. :o This is probably the best shot making team of all time.

2012-2013 Miami Heat winning percentage with Lebron: 80.2%
2012-2013 Miami Heat winning percentage without Lebron: 83.3%

Food for thought. The Heat without Lebron could have challenged the Bulls 72 win record this year

Damn, now that I'm looking back, I feel like the magnitude of what he was doing is something I didn't fully appreciate in the moment itself. I mean I understood he was a totally unarguable beast but I don't think I realized just how good, just as how I didn't realize how good '09 was in retrospect. The more I think about it, the more I realize that he could absolutely, positively be the no. 1 peak of all time over Jordan, Shaq, and Wilt. SideShowBob, good call.

What's crazy is how quickly he set a standard for himself. Any games < 50% shooting was a poor shooting night and if he had less than 26, 6, 6 it was a disappointing game.

Some bad TOs for Lebron in the first half. Looks good defensively, but maybe a little rusty on offense.

First quarter was sick. He had tremendous energy and looked to attack and facilitate. Second quarter he looked predictable offensively. I'm expecting a strong third quarter

Btw, what do you guys think Lebron will shoot in the playoffs this year? I wouldn't be surprised at all if he shot 60%+ in this series.
