Hey Cats! Magic fan question here..

Post#1 » by mbn23 » Thu Apr 18, 2013 10:33 pm

I have seen some stuff on our boards about your team and I've been getting curious. Where do you think your biggest hole is?

I see atleast 3 of the 5 starting positions looking good.
i.e. pg - walker
sg - MKG
SF - Henderson

So where is your team looking. For a guy like Noel?

Thank you so much,

Need a scoring big man at the 4 spot that has a good basketball IQ. Mullens only fits half that.

The only locked in postions for the near future are PG with Kemba and MKG at the SF.

Bismack is a future starting big in the NBA, but you need two starting bigs. So anything but point guard is on the table for us since the swingman positions are so flexible in today's NBA.

anybody in the top 4 could help the bobcats. they are still at the talent acquisition stage. not at the point where they can focus on roster tweaking. anybody that's got obvious skill and big time potential is fair game.

Pretty much what vorbis said. PG is relatively safe, MKG locks down the SF more or less. Biggest needs are 3pt shooting, smart players, rebounding, and low post scoring.

:upset:   Ok Brother Dave..Considering we draft #2 and Orlando takes Noel first, based on your criteria of our needs who do we select McLenmore, or trade down with Cleveland and take Olapido at 3, and pickup a Center like Gorbet, Withey or Dieng at 17? Have you seen the sky hook the kid from France has from 15 feet?

I don't know if this is a draft I'd necessarily trade down in. I'd probably just select McLemore and call it a day.

Withey and Dieng are probably reaches at 17 and I have serious question marks concerning Gobert. He's terribly skinny, doesn't appear to be a good athlete, and I have no idea of his IQ since his HL vids are just him dunking like Yao Ming and blocking shots. For example, a guy like Norvelle Pelle looks like a dynamite athlete but might not even get drafted b/c he is apparently as dumb as a brick.

MKG is a SF not a SG. Henderson will probably flushed if we can get McElmore. As for our biggest holes, its clear at the 4 and 5 spot. We don't have a decent 4 anywhere and Biyombo is a project who should be backing up the 5 spot at the moment. Noel scares me. I think he's going to get mauled by the more physical NBA play and be injured alot.

Return to Charlotte Hornets
