No. There's nothing about a person that makes them more prone to having bones broken by foul balls.

Ouch. That sucks for the Mets. His valuable will drop significantly if any of his injuries become consistent, should he have to play 1st.

I seriously doubt d'Arnaud has any significant value as a player if he's moved to first base, he's not that good of a hitter.

is this a medical fact? Or do some people have bones that are more fragile? I'm not saying its the case with this injury but just curious.

Unless he's a 65 year old woman taking corticosteroids, I don't think that problem is with the fragility of his bones. More the lack of fragility of the things hitting his bones.

Sucks for d'Arnaud. I think injury history is a concern for him, even if this particular injury sounds like a fluke. My main concerns with TDA prior to the deal were walk rate and injuries. He was walking up a storm in the PCL this season, but now he gets hurt again.

Doesn't make much of a difference as far as the trade is concerned, though. The Jays got Dickey to pitch for them for three years (hopefully more) at a high level. Whatever happens to d'Arnaud and Syndergaard shouldn't really be a concern. At this point, if the Jays make the playoffs and/or win a World Series over the life of Dickey's deal, then the deal would have been a success regardless of how TDA and NS do, IMO.

He'll still walk more than JP.
Nick Nurse recounting his first meeting with Kawhi:
“We could have gone forever. (Raptors management) kept knocking on the door and I was like, ‘A couple more minutes.’ Because we were really into it."

Exactly. IF TDA was listed as a 1B instead of C it's likely he wouldn't ever have been listed as a top 100 prospect. His value is as a Catcher with offensive potential, move him to the least important position on the defensive spectrum and he doesn't even project as a MLB starter.

Still, after cheering for TDA the past 3 seasons I hate to see this happen to him.

Nurse is below average at best.
Masai is overrated.
I dont get how so many people believe in the raptors, they have zero to chance to win it all.
