First of all, I want to say thanks for adding the Total And 1s under the avatar. It looks really good.
Small small suggestions I have for the "And 1s":
- And another value for the total "And 1s" a user used on other people's post. Just to see how many And 1s a user spreads around.
- Display the total "And 1s" a post has even if a user is not logged onto the website.
- Remove the "And 1" button on your own post. This way, 3 buttons are are displayed on every post in a thread, including your own post. Your own post currently has 4 buttons, including the And 1, which does not do anything.
This is a long shot, but I thought it would be cool for everyone to have a new post count under their avatar, because I think it will give a better representation of how many And 1s a user received and how many post they made.
The total post count since the join date could be saved to the actual user profile.
Example: A long time poster might have 30,000 posts but only 100 And 1s. A poster who recently joined might have 500 posts and 100 And 1s. It does not really give a good representation, in my opinion. There should be a new post count under the avatar.
When you go to the actual user profiles, you will still see the long time poster having 30,000 posts and the new poster having 500 posts.
This almost slipped by. Sorry for not replying earlier.
- We aren't going to add a count of how many times a user has And1'd another post. It will start getting clustered, IMO.
- And1's are only available to logged in users just because you need to be logged in to And1 a post. Everything will remain hidden if you are logged out.
- The And1 button will stay on your own posts, even though you can not And1 your post. You can click on the And1 number on your own posts to see who gave you the And1's.
- We aren't going to mess with the post counts at all. I can't imagine the uproar that would be caused by that! I see what you are thinking though and thanks for the suggestions.
