I am about 2 months in to Android (don't know why it took me so long to switch, Android rocks), RealGM seems to be the only site that crashes Dolphin 8.5.1 on my Android device. It doesn't matter whether or not I have javascript disabled. It does the same in UC Browser tablet edition, too. I can usually browse 2-3 pages before it crashes. There have been stretches where the site hasn't crashed my browser, but there is no rhyme or reason to it...
Just figured I'd mention it. I know I could download Tapatalk or the new RealGM app...but I prefer the desktop-like experience and I hate installing/using un-needed apps.

Re: RealGM on Android
Install the google chrome app or opera mini. It should work, I can confirm chrome app for iPhone works, so I assume android will work too.

Opera Mini does work (I was thinking along the same lines and installed it earlier today - appreciate the suggestion anyways). It would still be cool if the site didn't crash most Android browsers (Maxthon crashes too). It would keep things simpler.

Tapatalk/RGM app are far superior to the browser experience. I don't understand why people don't want to try new things.
It's faster and more convenient (and it's free). There is literally not a single drawback to using it.

I have the Galaxy and never had an issue with Dolphin Browser with RealGM. Not even once. So, it may be your phone or firmware.
And, the Website is quite fast for me.

Re: RealGM on Android
We have released a new mobile version of the site and forums for this reason. Our site wasn't designed to be very mobile friendly and uses a lot of scripts that take a long time to load/process on a mobile device. I strongly recommend downloading the RealGM Forums app.

It could have to do with my phone - I only have 512MB ram plus a swap file, single core.
But still, I am rooted and tweaked and Realgm is the only site that seems to crash browsers on my phone. And the site loads real fast for me too, so it's not like my phone isn't capable of handling it...the scripts shouldn't matter because it crashes my browsers with or without javascript enabled.
Anyways Opera Mini for spot occasions works fine. Thanks to those who bothered to reply (I probably won't check back).

Re: RealGM on Android
Just want to say I've been enjoying the Android app. I love how everything is synced now from my Android app, to my various desktop browsers, so if I click on a topic, I always get to the 1st unread message. I am posting so much more from the phone app now. Just hard to copy/paste links, stories, and no green font, etc. But still, it's great.
EDIT: I take it all back. Something happened in the last week and now I can never get to first unread messages in the app or any browser.

Yes, sorry about that. That feature crashed our forums because there were too many posts being read and it caused a big backlog in our database. We had to disable it.

That's so sad. Seriously I was enjoying the experience more than ever before for that little while. So much more efficient to read threads. Now I post in a thread in the morning, and I just forget about it and never find my old post again. Hopefully it's a feature you'll look to re-enable when your servers are updated.

Re: RealGM on Android
I agree - it was a very nice feature. It just isn't working out for us at the moment. If we can ever bring it back, we will.
