NBA announces 2013 Draft order. #Knicks have 24th pick in 1st round. Their 2nd round pick (No. 54) goes to WAS in the Chandler sign & trade.

2nd seed and picking 24th, it's great being in the eastern conference.

I like Myck Kabongo, Reggie Bullock, or Nate Wolter from where the Knicks are picking. Mouhammadou Jaiteh would be a great value pick but I never watched him play.

The NBA draft lottery order has been finalized, with four ties being broken Friday in a drawing by the league in New York City. The draft lottery will be held on May 21, and the draft itself will be held on June 27. Here are the results of the drawings:

that's what i thought but i wasn't sure because in nba 2k13 association i won the title and got the 30th pick even though i didn't have the best record.

Assuming Gorgui Deng has played him out of our range (based on DX he has) then my list contains the following guys in no real order:

Nate Wolters PG/SG - IMO clearly the most reliable PG prospect in our range in terms of being able to come off the bench right away, help run the team and not make a lot of mistakes. Like ive said in other threads about Wolters, his ability to cut on a dime, spot openings in the defense and head to the basket is just like Jeremy Lin. So any Lin fans will also like Wolters. Has great ball control and is also a very smart and quite good defender.I absolutely love this guy.

Tony Mitchell PF/SF - this is the high upside risk pick of the group, but even with questionnable attitude and motor to be able to basically average 13/9/3 while sleepwalking through stretches of games is something. Physically and defensively hes NBA ready..and he can shoot and obviously finishing isnt a problem. Ill let Woodson work his JR mojo on Mitchell.

Jeff Withey C - hes the best defensive big in college basketball. Knows his role, does it real well, plays with the type of intensity you love your bigs to have. With all the health issues the Knicks bigs have had would be a great "safe" pick.

Reggie Bullock SF - another guy that knows how to play, that have immediate skills to contribute, a tough competitor and a smart guy. May not have great size for a wing but makes up for it in toughnesd and feel for the game.

Russ Smith SG/PG - there is no one more competitive than Smith in college IMO. Terrific defender. Dynamic offensive player. Height is a problem as hes a SG in a PG body but I dont think that will deter Smith one bit. A John Starks type fearless guy. If you like Starks youll like Smith. Off the bench hed be a great change of pace energy guy that can absolutely shut down opposing PGs.

One guy for each of the 5 positions.

Key attribute is that all guys can contribute right away off the bench and have some upside.

Lol...hard for me to have an opinion of guys I havent really seen play. Of the clips ive seen I dont see Pippen as some crazies have tried to hint he can become. Being one of the older guys on this board, Ive seen Pippen play at roughly the same age and they arent close. And based on everything that has been written about him and the competition hes played against I cant imagine hed be in any shape to contribute anything for 3-4 years and, well, thats just too long for where this team is at. If we were talking the next Lebron then sure, but lets be serious, if there was anyone that really believe he has a real chance to be a top 50 player of all time hell be gone long before we pick...especially in this draft.

Its ok to hope for a star but we need to add guys that can contribute some now.

yeah, his physical tools are godly (those hands

) however this probably isn't the right situation for him. he'd be best served landing with an orlando or detroit.

i'm still on the russ smith badwagon. him and shumpert as our backcourt has all-defensive first team potential at it's highest.

he's a sleeper in the draft for sure, the kid can ball. Sheeittttt i'd take him with our 1st round pick if were looking for someone who's NBA ready.

Carmicheal, Whithey and Kabongo are guys i really like.

I have to disagree Russ Smith could be a very good defensive guard in the NBA people dislike him because his offensive game is UGLY and he's careless with the ball.
