He's stated that he's a huge Knicks and it was his dream to call Knicks games. He's one of the best NBA announcers there are, and he has great chemistry with Clyde. They've been together for years.

Some of you seem to b*tch about stuff that doesn't matter hahaha. I'd hate to have another announcer take his place to work alongside Clyde for a season. Wouldn't be the same.

Mike Breen = Knicks. If you don't like it, or him, too bad. He ain't going nowhere, so get used to it and STFUUUU.

Mike Breen is the GOAT announcer and #1 Knicks fan. He should be inducted into HOF when he retires from broadcasting.

Look, for all intents and purposes, Clyde gets on the Knicks but he doesn't do it in the snide way Breen does. I don't like him, I know a lot of people don't like him. I don't like his little anecdotes. Breen is a play by play guy, not a color commentator -- that is Clyde's job. He makes the broadcast about himself, and his opinions. He tries to make up for his lack of gravitas with his little side bar commentary. He is too overly opinionated to listen to during every broadcast. He reminds me of some of the posters on RealGM that I don't like, but unfortunately I can't just put Breen on ignore.

Seriously have you guys even heard most other teams' announcers? Not only are they so homer that it's like a mildly autistic drunk fan is calling the game but they're just terrible all around. Breen does national games for a reason.

If anything, Breen is actually GREAT for the Knicks.

Players have massive egos, so they surely don't like being criticized publicly on TV. And because Breen mostly makes negative comments after selfish plays and bad defense, it produces many positive effects in the long run, since they try to prove that such assessments are wrong.

Everyone's opinion of what "balanced" is is different. I think Knicks fans have a bias in their reaction towards Breen because he calls Knicks games...same with Clyde. Ask other fanbases their opinion of Breen and it will probably be different than Knicks fans who express their dismay with Breen. For the past 10 years, there hasn't been much to be optimistic about, even as an announcer, and when a team beats your ass each and every night, it's pretty difficult to be a homer announcer. Which is why Marv Albert was let go. He tried to call the game like it was, and call how much the Knicks sucked, but Jim Dolan wanted him to be an over-optimistic Knicks announcer and not criticize the team.

Breen did the Knicks radio play-by-play when Marv was our TV guy. He's Knicks down to the core, and some of you are claiming he "hates Melo". Hahaha.

You can guarantee he wants a Knicks NBA Championship just as much as Clyde does. He critiques a little, and some of you get on his d*ck. Some of you need to grow a pair. He's clearly a Knicks homer, just not when he's calling games on National TV. When it's all said and done, he's most likely going to be in the broadcasting hall-of-fame. You fools should be greatful we have him, instead of someone like Spero doing our games for an entire season.

And what really grinds my gears is Breen's "AND JUST LIKE THAT, IT'S DOWN TO...," which he says with such emphatic adulation, like a young pubescent boy touching his first tit. In fact, I suspect, Breen eagerly awaits his chance to utter those words, as he verbally prematurely ejaculates that expression countless times (AND JUST LIKE THAT, THE LEAD IS DOWN TO 18!).

He sucks.
