I was wondering if we would have a rematch from last years playoff series. We all know it went 7 games and this season we're not getting much credit for what we accomplished. Who cares, our team has always been the underdog and if most people want to think that way so be it. Memphis is a tough team, but they can be beat. (We just beat them not too long ago) We also have the best player on the court, Chris Paul.

The issues I see the Grizzlies giving us are their defense and rebounding. However Memphis does struggle to score. If we can play the game the way we want, fast, we should get positive results. In order to play fast we need to defend and rebound the ball. If we can do that the series is ours. I'm anticipating a tough game tonight. I'm sure Memphis wants revenge from last year and this season. I hope the guys are ready for playoff basketball!

BILLUPS READY TO GO FOR GAME 1

“I’m just excited to be out there and not have to watch, sitting in a suit,” Billups said after Friday’s practice. “It’s great for me. Obviously, I felt like I could help the team last year in the playoffs and this year I’ll have that opportunity. So, I’m just excited, really, to be back at it.”

“I definitely think we’re better,” Paul said. “We’re a lot healthier than we were last season because last season was such a rigorous season. And it’s great to have Chauncey back.”

Moving forward in the playoffs, Clippers head coach Vinny Del Negro will continue to monitor Billups.

“He’ll be limited,” Del Negro said. “Somewhere in the 20s [minutes], I don’t know where exactly yet. We’ll make that decision tomorrow. He felt good after back-to-back games and practiced today, no setbacks.”

we have the home court.
people wrote us off when Memphis beat us at home a few weeks ago.
instead of acknowledging our win in Memphis last Saturday, pundits pretend it didnt happen.

we're in a no win situation here.
we have to "prove" ourselves even though we beat them last year.
if we lose, we're what everybody expected and our development plateaued somewhere.
if we win, everybody will suddenly remember that we did beat them last year and nobody will give 2 craps about how different their team was with the trade.


it literally is us against the world.
a world that is still whining and moaning over 2012 flopping.
a world that hates how we complain to refs and pile up techs (so do I here).
a world that thinks we're soft and can be punked.
a world that thinks we only fast break even though we're 19th in pace and they wont pin the same stigma to the Nuggets.


we're a team and a franchise on a mission.
not just some random mix of good players like those dudes on the other side.
rally around each other...and lets get'er done.
why? because we're better than them
