Magic fan here

Post#1 » by mbn23 » Sat Apr 20, 2013 2:57 pm

If the Magic end up getting the #1 pick, has there been any interest within the suns organization for that pick to get Noel?

If so, what kind of trade would you do in such a case?

I was thinking if the Magic drafted #1 and PHX drafted #4-5...

Swapping picks assuming PHX got the guy that our GM wanted, getting your Laker pick, and the right to swap picks in the 2014 draft....

Admittedly I haven't watched much of Noel but at that price I would much rather have a McLemore and keep the better 2014 pick in a much better draft.

Doubt pick swapping would be on the table for the 2014 draft.

Noels isn't that good. He's definitely not worth that much.

His ceiling is De'Andre Jordan/Larry Sanders.

I'd personally like us to trade Gortat and Scola to Portland for Leonard and #10, and then trade #4, #10 and #30 to the magic for your pick to nab McLemore.

We can't trade Scola until July 1st, according to Valley of the Sun.

Also, let's not get our hopes up, Stern could give us the seventh pick.

I still think there is a deal to be made with Cleveland. They traded three picks last year for one pick. I still don't think they add four rookies. Maybe the thirtieth pick for their two second rounders, both early second rounders, and grab some role players.

It will be an intersting offseason. There is no way we stand pat.

Does anyone else think Oladipo could be like Jimmy Butler from Chi?

Sounds like a tank for 2014 if we did that.

Tigers winning it all. Tigers are, imo, peaking at the right time.

Let me get this straight, you want us to trade you the #4,#30, and the ability to swap picks next year just for your #1 in a crappy draft?

Didn't he blow out his ACL?

No way!

No player is ever the same after ACL and if they blow out an ACL once, they are far more likely to do it again. After a second ACL injury, that player is DONE.

If our med staff clears him I'm all in on Nerlens. I'll wait for the lottery and them we'll talk trade.

I would do this without hesitation.

This is a terrible trade it makes us worse but gives us a better chance at wiggins/parker

Who is us? Makes the Magic worse or the Suns?

Except that if we give Orlando the rights to swap picks next year, we won't get Wiggins/Parker no matter how much worse the trade makes us. We could win 10 games all year and have the number one pick but Orlando would just swap. So altogether a dumb idea.

Well there is no telling what may happen when you guys get a new GM. he might do what the Magic's GM did, and make all the right moves.

How about Michael Beasley, our '13 first round pick for Rob Hennigan?
