I hope we go with the same route that the Utah Jazz took this year with their jerseys...just go back to the classics. I think theirs are slightly modernized, but I'd like to just go back to the red/white/blue from the Allan Houston days.

I've always wanted black jerseys also.

LOL WTF are the Allan Houston days?

I do like that jersey Allan Houston has on.
If they changed them to that, I would be cool with that.
I do like the ones we have now though.
Keep the Red White and Blue .
No TEAL PLEASE!!!

Am I missing something? That's exactly the jersey the Pistons have had for the last decade, with only a touch of modernizing. I don't mind if they changed the lettering on the current jerseys to that old block style, but I don't see any need for a complete overhaul. I agree with the others that it reeks of a teal era change for the sake of change.

i like our jersey to a certain extent. we need to change the word font asap. id be happy with that. we dont need a whole uniform change because im 100% sure it will end up being ugly. we have nice and simple jerseys.

Who in Michigan can understand "going to work" when the biggest problem is that theres no work to go to?

The font on the jersies could use an update. It's the teal-era font in a banner. We haven't had the horse anywhere in the logo since 2005. It looks stupid without knowing the P has a horse-ear on the top.

REVEAL THE TEAL!
Tom Gores' Securus faced a class action lawsuit in 2024. The company engaged in a "quid pro quo kickback scheme" with county jails in Michigan which banned in-person visits in order to maximize revenue from voice and video calls.

I emailed Langlois' Mailbag about this, and he clarified. Sounds like the writer misunderstood the information he was given; only a new alt is being considered.

John (Macomb Twp., Mich.): I read in The Free Press recently that the Pistons are working on new uniforms for the 2012-13 season. Is this definite? I know most Pistons fans love the set they have now and wouldn’t want to take a chance on another Teal Era mistake. The red jerseys could be brought back, but I don’t think most want to see any other type of change. Could a petition or something similar change the minds of the powers that be?

Langlois: An alternate uniform is under consideration, John, something that would be worn perhaps a dozen times for the 2012-13 season. The familiar home whites and road blues will not be altered, so rest easy. There will be no return to the Teal Era – certainly not on Joe Dumars’ watch.

Interesting, I'd love to see the red jerseys come back. Also, am I only one who doesn't like our logo? I mean it's not bad, it's just a bit boring, I'd prefer to go back to the retro one similar to what Philly did a few years ago.

Yeah, this isn't something that needs to be done. The current uniforms are great. I wouldn't mind them bringing back the red alt, or changing the D inside the P logo on the shorts, but other than that, they're perfect, IMO.

Still feel the same way I did back then. The Pistons could use a new alternate (only team in the NBA currently without an alternate, I believe) or reviving the red one, but other than that, I still don't see the need for this.

Interesting. I just hope it's not one of the awful sleeved jerseys that Golden State introduced this year. I thought I remembered reading 6 more teams would be getting them in the coming years.
