Also Blatche and McGee. Call it Revenge of the Knuckleheads II (straight to cable)

And Young played a big role for the Clips last year.

Apparently, getting traded from the Wizards is a golden ticket to the playoffs.

Looking forward to the Heat/Bucks series - but would like it much more if Scott Skiles were still coaching. The Bucks aren't that good, but they have interesting matchups with Miami. Sauders and Henson are prototype defending bigs against Miami, and Ilyasova throws in the big who can hit 3's. A Moute is built to guard Lebron as much as anyone around the NBA is. Redick, Jennings, Ellis, and Dunleavy are all capable of getting red hot from 3 land. Problem is - someone's gotta contain Wade. If they use Daniels, they lose offensive explosiveness.

How will referees tip the balance if Milwaukee's guards hit shots?

Miami is a better team but the Bucks do have some tough matchups for them.

David Lee out for the season. Bad break for GSW. It's like they never can have Bogut/Lee healthy together.

The NBA playoffs are for the most part a giant snoozefest until the Conf. Finals, compared to every other sport's playoffs.
Eric Maynor is the worst basketball player I've ever seen.

Houston and OKC should be a fun series.

The return of Harden.

The only series I think that can go the distance is MEM-LAC assuming the Grizz can show up tomorrow

What a boring Sunday. I wish the 1st round went back to just best of 5.

It has only been one game, but all the higher seeds have won. In the only close game - Denver/GSW - the underdog lost one of their best players. I would not be surprised at all to see the 1-4 seeds advance on both sides.

Generally the only interesting series in the first round is the 3/6 series. The 5th seed has the best bet of an upset, but they generally will get knocked off in the second round.

Milwaukee's plan is to get Miami overconfident.

As good as Lebron's been in the past, he's even better now than he's ever been. A Moute can guard him as well as anyone in the NBA, and he still totally dominated the game. Mil's bigs looked star-struck and need to get their heads into the game if they're going to even make a game out of 1 of the 4 games this series will last. And Redick is losing money on his next contract every game, it seems.

He anchors Memphis' defense... he's very good.

Fair enough. I never knew Gasol was regarded as having a super high IQ or that he was the major force behind their defense. Always thought it was largely a collective team effort. Who knew.

Great shot and finish by Chris Paul, but it must be nice when you can freely use your off arm and get away with it. It's just hard to respect a p,Ayer who flops and plays a very subtle dirty game IMO.

Memphis needs bench scoring bad. As someone on the general board mentioned, their starters all had positive +/- numbers compared to the clippers starters, but their bench is just pathetic. They're like a better version of us in some ways.

Gasol is good, but the DPOY should be the guy who shoulda won it probably 5-6 times by now, but hasn't won it once: Tim Duncan.

The argument against Duncan winning this year is that his total impact was significantly limited by minutes played. I think that's a fair argument. (This year. You're dead right about previous years.)

As for Memphis, it really surprised me when they sacrificed bench depth for seemingly no reason during the Dump-A-Gay sweepstakes. I thought they would try to add a scorer to come off the bench, but no, they passed on roster improvements and now... they're probably a first round out.

I was all over wanting the Wizards to get Stephen Curry. Kind of like I wanted Beal. Locking in early and never wavered.

But man did I miss the boat on Klay Thompson. I know he could shoot but I was worried about his defense. But damn.

Him and Curry together really challenges the defense.
