Here's the issue for me: Rose is risking going against the grain on conventional rehab for what reason? It's not like returning from ACL injuries within 8-10 months meant you were unable to get back to 100%. He's basically not playing because he feels he doesn't have to.

Here's a question: Derrick sprains his ankle in February of 2015. How long does he sit? The Bulls have already told Derrick that Derrick can come back when he wants, not when he's able. There's a reason players play when able when they're no longer a risk to themselves.

I really think this is the first time Derrick's felt soreness from playing basketball and in the future, Rose will realize this IS normal and he was wrong to sit.

The same Derrick Rose that played through a bleeding groin, ulcers and severely sprained ankles in the playoffs? The guy that has dealt with tendonitis since high school? He's never felt soreness. Please stop!

If I'm at the game I will certainly be booing him.

You would boo your first All Star and the only option we have at a championship anytime soon? For real? Get over it! He's a Chicagoan, he's a Bull. The first game he's back he deserves a standing ovation! Point blank!

Both of those extremes are ridiculous, in my opinion. I wouldn't boo him. But I certainly wouldn't give him any special form of applause merely for talking the court, let alone the most meaningful form of applause our society recognizes.

There was not much there. It was 20 seconds. Jim rose asked him how he was feeling, derrick said he felt good, leg is not bothering him and he is just being patient.

Rose gets pulled away by undisclosed personnel interview over.

At this point i think its obvious that bj and reggie's lives are sustained by the tears of bulls fans.

So what happens next January when this is still going on? Rose just isn't feeling right yet. He won't take the court until he does, etc. At what point do even the Bulls turn on him?

Only Rose knows his body. Have you ever been to the Dr. and they say you are perfectly fine but you just don't feel right? It's the same thing. Let the man come back when he thinks it's right! He brother said some stupid things and that's what cuased all this hatred toward Rose.

I would argue the exact opposite. If you don't boo him then you're just a d-rose jock sniffer, who cares more about the individual than the team.

Bulls > Rose

The Bulls existed before Rose, they will continue to exist long after he is gone.

Won't happen. Here's how it will play out: Bulls season will end, life will go on. Next year, Rose will be fully cleared and doing everything he normally does. Trumpets will sound when he returns. He will be rusty in pre-season and probably a few of the regular season games, and then he'll be ok. Will he be better or as good as he was? That's the question. But I dont' think this is a 'Rose sitting out' issue as much as it is a 'Rose is being enabled and not challenged' issue.

What does booing him accomplish?

I don't think many (if any) will boo him coming back next season.. At worst, many people won't have as rosy an image of him as they once had and Rose will have less margin for error with the fans.
