Well deserved, though I think it's a shame that Timmy will retire without one.

I think Hibbert deserved it more than him, but no complains and congratulations to Big Marc.

Not too bad for a soft euro player /green font

I wonder what the All-D team is gonna be.

Marc
?
Lebron
T.Allen
?

I'm pretty sure those 3 are gonna make it. The other 2, I'm not sure about. Is Duncan considered a forward? Is George considered a guard?

Well, the moment Lebron wins the MVP, I am gonna open a nice thread for him.

Duncan should have won imo. Gasol only wins because of minutes (and because the media voters have always skimped out on Duncan's DPOY), but Duncan's the better defensive player especially when it comes to defending the interior. Last night showed a glimpse of that too, taken from Spurstalk:

DPOY Gasol: 2rebs/0stls/0blks in 41 minutes. His team allowed 112 points(55% FG).
Lost the rebounding battle: 23-47

37 yr old Duncan: 10 rebs/3stls/0blks in 36 minutes. His team allowed 79 points(41% FG)
Lost the rebounding battle: 43-44

Tim Duncan deserves it, and the fact that he never got one is a shame.

Most underrated player in NBA history.

I'm glad Gasol won it. Way more deserving than Duncan. Everyone that is picking Duncan just wants it as a lifetime achievement award. I can think of at least 3 guys that were more deserving than Duncan.

Gasol, Lebron, George are those 3.

I don't know why people thought Hibbert was more deserving of DPOY than George.

The Grizzlies are not #1 in defense. They are only #1 in Opponent PPG. In most other categories, the Pacers are #1.

Anyway, congratulations to Marc. I felt that there were some players that deserved it a bit more but Marc deserved it as well :D

Hmm, could it be because he is the centerpiece of the best defensive team in the league?
