I think we were destined to fail no matter who our coach had been. Those teams were just flawed. Don't get me wrong there were never many teams that would have been able to beat them, but they always lost to teams that they had difficulty with during the season. The losses really should never have been a surprise.

The way that SVG just let LeBron go off tells the story IMO. They were able to lock down everyone but LeBron knowing that LeBron couldn't single-handedly win a series. Brown really didn't make adjustments at all against Orlando

Even if i did want him back i still dont understand why they give coaches such long deals. 5 years? Its almost certain they wont last that long.

Top ten offense his last 3 years in Cleveland and 2 out of those 3 he had offenses ranked higher than defense. Just because it was ugly doesnt mean it wasnt effective. Mike Brown knew how to win games because he stuck to what worked. I LOVE this hire and never though we should have let him go in the first place.

Well, the Mike Brown Cavalier teams of old could defend with the best of them, but struggled to put up points when it mattered. This young Cavaliers team can score with the best of them, and will likely see more easy buckets with a tighter defense in place. So I ask, is this really such a bad thing? Cleveland is in a completely different situation than when Brown was shown the door.

Well, welcome back M Brown. I guess the team is serious about being a TEAM, not just one great player and surrounding parts. I hope Brown comes back with the idea that he doesn't have to kiss any one players ass like he did for Lebron. Its hard to dislike Brown personally, but as stated already he really has had shortcomings with several important in game situations.
Like I said about Byron though, this team still needs several vets that can still play some and get in the young guys **** if they aren't giving it all on both ends of the floor. I cant see Brown benching Kyrie for his lack of defensive effort based on what we have seen from him (Brown) in the past. There will have to be some leadership from other players.

What are your thoughts on is in game adjustments / rotations? This is pretty much the biggest issue fans have with all coaches in the nba so its certainly a bit of the fans thinking they know more than they actually do but i do believe he struggled in this area, especially in some play offs series.

On to the offense yeah we had some good numbers but a lot of that was lebron. I guess we'll get a better look at how good he can be on offense now because we will have a much more rounded roster going forward and we won't be relying on lebron ball. ( Hopefully we dont rely on kyrie ball either)

The funny thing about this whole in game adjustment argument was that this was widely accepted to be one of MB's strengths both in season and during the playoffs for all but 2 series. Everyone forgets the countless games and series we won due to his solid in game and in series adjustments and I guess understandably, just remembers the 2 losses.

I just said this on another board, but knowing what we all do about MB, his work ethic and complete humbleness simply wont allow him to not learn from his mistakes and improve. I am excited about him taking all of the positives from his last tenure and adding to that. I am loving this hire more the more I think about it actually. Really stoked right now.

Sorry I completely disagree. Brown had no ability to create offense before and that was with the best player in the world Unbelievable I see no value in this move. If this was done to attract someone back its the stupidiest move ever.

I know everyone keeps saying this, but the stats just dont back that argument up. It might have been ugly but it worked.

You cant look into the stats too much. Sure they mean a bit but remember we had lebron. Who was teh best scorer in teh nba for a while. I think its more imprtant to look at how the offense ran and plays drawn up in certain situations, adjustments etc.

Im not saying the stats are completely meaningless but you gotta admit lebron makes them look better then they should be.
