Fair enough. I think, given his history this season with Pau, he's kind of lost some leeway with me. That coupled with how Kobe responded/is responding makes his margin almost in the negative range.

This whole thing has definitely been blown out of proportion, but I think it could have been avoided had Mike not called him a 'fan' and responded with 'we'll keep in touch, talk some things over, and discuss his views pertaining to the strategy going forward', or something along those lines.

I understand D'Antoni is the coach, for now, but I'm sure Kobe's insights are far greater than any fan can contribute.

his insights on twitter weren't even anything special , even so, they aren't meant for the team. obviously he doesn't really think the team is going to check his twitter during the game, so any value his insights have nothing to do with posting them on twitter during the game. thats just for the fans, not to actually help the team.

well yeah, after the game he can just actually talk to the coach and players and go into great detail instead of posting generic fan-like stuff like "that was matador defense" and "gotta steal one" and "post. post. post"

It's a free country and while on the sidelines - Kobe has the right to express his opinions. If a person doesn't like hearing Kobe twitter - Don't pay attention. That's the reason I don't listen to Fox news station.
