Nuggets vs. Warriors - Game 2

Post#1 » by corona » Tue Apr 23, 2013 11:26 pm

8:30pm mst. probably more like 850 though, because the boston/new york slugfest is bound to run long.

if the rebounding and ball movement is better in this one, it should be a 10+ pt victory.

It would be fantastic to just take care of business here. a short series and some rest would sure help. Lee is down... get it done... no let down.

small-ball 4 with Bogut at the 5 is slightly scary. I'd much rather Bogut was the one injured. Don't know how Bogut will do with big minutes, or how their small-ball will work. But sometimes offenses take off when they go small, and GS definitely has the shooters for it.

Iggy never looked this good in Philly. What a performance.

Down 10 so far. Faried doesn't look like he's a 100%.

Probably should try playing some defense on Curry and Thompson. Might make a difference.
Faried looks awful. Refs are even worse.

ouch. hate to see that ankle acting up on Curry. Love it for the Nuggets, hate it for basketball. Beautiful player to watch.

Disgusting! Marshmallow Soft, No heart...

Wow... Jump shooters have taken them out of their game... soft soft soft.

I am embarrassed to be a Nugget fan... even if they find a miracle and win this game, they don't deserve this one and this is ridiculous. Playoff basketball is 48 minutes of heart...

Faried is so unbelievably terrible on defense. We don't stand a chance with him in the game.

+11 with him in the game right now. I think his quickness is helping.

Calm down Nuggets fans, this loss isn't that bad.

Golden State are having a historic shooting night, even Miami would lose to them tonight.

how did the Nuggets forget to play defense over the last week? This is a miserable showing, but hopefully it wakes them up and reminds them that they have to work a full 48 minutes.

I don't know. I hope you're right. But I think this is the new series. David Lee's injury forced GS to go small, and their spacing improved dramatically. We can't help on the pick-and-roll without leaving excellent shooters wide open. Their offense is frightening all of a sudden. I'd rather face Miami's offense. Worst part is that Lee is a terrible defender, so their defense got better by subtraction.

I think GS just became a threat to make a deep run in the playoffs (if Bogut and Curry stay healthy).

Odds are even if the Nuggets play this bad of defense again that the Warriors will not shoot as well as they did tonight, but it was not just a spacing problem, it was a total lack of effort, hell there was at least a dozen plays where 3 of the guys on the court did not even make it down the court 10 seconds into the shot clock, that is unacceptable if you ask me.

I only wish Karl stops playing favorites and putting out whack lineups.

Starting Andre Miller at the half and then for some reason benching McGee in favor of Faried AND Wilson Chandler (yes he played center in the 4th) was insane. Heck, giving up on Fournier after one quarter is not really doing anyone good as well.

Go back to the way we won 57 games. Don't need to be drastic.

I'd agree with this if they just made a bunch of tough, contested shots, but they didn't. We left two of the best pure shooters in the league wide open time after time after time. I watched Faried refuse to help on the pick 'n roll, giving Curry a wide open jumper at least a handful of times.

Luckily this team is extremely resilient and I strongly believe they're going to come back fired up on Friday. If they don't, the blame has to fall on Karl. The only adjustments he could make were to bench Fournier and McGee, really? Give me a **** break.

That was just embarrassing.

Randolph and McGee played very well (Randolph was moving inside the paint and got easy baskets)

Why playing with miller & Lawson together in the 3q??

players aren't names.

I'm a little bit worried about Wilson doesn't get shooting fouls.... i think he is fouled more than the reefs see
