SBNation article on Bucks unbelievable waste of assets

Article really stresses the importance of a good coach.

Don't cry for J.J. -- his record is pretty strong, and he'll get paid this summer. Just feel sorry for the Bucks fans who

1. have to watch their team's coach seriously handicap a squad already obscenely overmatched, and

2. get to watch Tobias Harris do things in a different city for the foreseeable future.

Harris blew up when he escaped Skiles and Boylan: he averaged 17 points and 8.5 rebounds per game in Orlando. His per-minute and per-game numbers improved, and his advanced stats profile looks much better. He may never be more than a solid starter or sixth man, but Milwaukee is about two losses from having gotten nothing but Gustavo Ayon's 13 ho-hum minutes per night for him.

We have this in the other thread. But the article is so good and so damning about the idiots running our team that it can stand on its own thread.

Anything trashing the leadership deserves its own thread!

Ziller is a second tier NBA new media guy, behind the Woj, Simmons, etc crew.

But we'll take it. People should read the entire piece. Talks about the lunacy of the Bucks front office in always pursuing the 8th seed as if anyone cares.

The only part I take exception to is the implication that Redick is perhaps better than he really is. Redick really is a limited player as we have unfortunately learned.

It seems like the Bucks were super lazy after they fired Skiles. We didn't hear of any interest in anyone else. Didn't hear of any interviews. Just seemed like a super lazy effort. And the fact they made the Tobias-for-JJ trade after firing Skiles and committing themselves to Boylan for the rest of the year is what's mind blowing.

The irony for Kohl and crew is that getting in the playoffs brought them the exact attention they didn't want.

Delicious isn't it? These writers have nothing to do this early in the playoffs, but are forced to cover what's going on with the Heat, so by extension we get some blow.
